Perry Farrell's wife Etty Lau breaks her silence to reveal the REAL reason Jane's Addiction singer punched guitarist Dave Navarro on stage

As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience in the music industry, I’ve seen my fair share of behind-the-scenes drama and onstage mishaps. Having worked with numerous bands and artists, I can confidently say that tensions are often inevitable and can sometimes lead to explosive situations like the one involving Perry Farrell and his bandmates.

Earlier silence from Perry Farrell’s wife was broken as she spoke up following an incident at a Boston concert where he allegedly attacked his lead guitarist. She explained that the outburst stemmed from Farrell feeling overwhelmed due to his bandmates playing their instruments too forcefully, effectively drowning him out.

Instead of posting directly, Etty Lau, who is married to Farrell, chose to express his perspective on social media platform Instagram, following the criticism he received for physically confronting musician Dave Navarro during a live performance on Friday evening.

Instead of guessing, she chose to share her personal experience of the events that transpired on stage. (She wrote this.)

Lau mentioned that Farrell has been dealing with persistent nightly tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and a sore throat, which has negatively impacted his vocal performance. He expressed concern that the concert’s volume was excessively high, causing his voice to get lost amidst the band’s sound.

Lau mentioned that there were periods of friction and hostility among the band members, yet he believed this wasn’t necessarily negative because it was also the spark that gave the band its unique vitality.

However, on a Friday evening, Lau mentioned that her spouse became overwhelmed when spectators failed to hear him due to the heckling.

‘When the audience in the first row, [they] started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it,’ she wrote.

‘He wasn’t singing, he was screaming just be to be heard.’
