Perrie Edwards unexpectedly appeared on this weekend’s episode of The Masked Singer. She filmed her part for the show several weeks before giving birth to her second child.
Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards recently welcomed a baby girl, Alanis Valentine, with her partner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Late last year, Perrie Edwards appeared as a guest judge on the popular TV show The Masked Singer, joining Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Davina McCall on the panel.
The actress, inspired by 1960s fashion, proudly displayed her baby bump in a vibrant dress while playfully guessing the identities of characters on the show.
On Strictly Come Dancing, Anton Du Beke was revealed to be the Arctic Fox after being eliminated in the sing-off against Red Panda.
After a surprising double elimination, it was revealed that Kate Nash was the singer behind the Monkey Business costume.
Okay, so everyone’s been losing it – and honestly, me too – because we think we’ve finally figured out what her daughter’s name actually means! It’s been driving us crazy trying to decode it, and now it feels like everything is clicking into place. I’m seriously obsessed with finding out all the hidden meanings behind everything she does, and this feels huge!
A fan shared on X that the nickname likely originated from Perrie’s 2011 audition for The X Factor.
During her audition, Perrie performed Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know,” and the judges were impressed enough to advance her to the next round.
Perrie recently shared in an interview that if she ever has a daughter, she’d love to name her Alanis.
One fan shared on Instagram that Perrie once mentioned loving Alanis Morissette and wanting to name a future daughter Alanis.
Perrie recently shared her admiration for strong, confident women in the music industry. In an interview with Women In Pop, she explained that she loves female artists who are fearlessly themselves and don’t worry about what others think – those who are unapologetic and direct.
She shared on BBC Radio 2 that she’s been a lifelong fan of Alanis Morissette, as her mother always loved her music. She even said that if she ever had a daughter, she’d like to name her Alanis.
Last week, Perrie shared the happy news she’d welcomed her second child with her partner Alex.
The singer and the footballer, both 32 years old, have been together for five years and got engaged in 2022. They already share a four-year-old son named Axel.
Perrie announced her happy news and shared the beautiful name she and her partner chose for their baby: Alanis Valentine.
Her social media post received an outpouring of congratulations from both her many fans and celebrity friends. Even her Little Mix bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, chimed in, calling her a ‘perfect little angel’.
In September, the couple shared the happy news that they’re expecting their second child with a sweet video of their son, Axel, kissing the mother’s baby bump.
The couple’s announcement of their pregnancy came shortly after Perrie Edwards shared her painful experience with two miscarriages. She opened up about it in a very honest and emotional conversation on the ‘We Need To Talk’ podcast with Paul C Brunson.
The singer revealed she had a miscarriage before the birth of her son, Axel. She was previously pregnant, but lost the baby early in the pregnancy.
Perrie shared that after her miscarriage, she felt very anxious during her pregnancy with Axel, constantly hoping to reach the 12-week mark.
Just a year after having Axel, she found out she was pregnant again while preparing for Little Mix’s last tour in 2022.
I was absolutely heartbroken to learn she lost her baby at 24 weeks. She described the day they found out as the worst of her life, and it just breaks my heart thinking about it. It’s such a tragic loss, and I’m sending all my love and support her way.
She also explained that her intense sadness was made even worse when she realized her body was still producing breast milk, even after the miscarriage.
Last month, Alex shared with The Athletic how the miscarriages affected him, explaining that it took a significant amount of time before he and his partner felt prepared to try for another child.
The former England player said they felt upset when another player asked about their baby, about six months after experiencing a loss.
He explained that having a child isn’t always straightforward, and unexpected difficulties can arise when you become a parent.
It’s incredibly challenging, particularly for women experiencing pregnancy. The deep connection they feel to the developing baby, combined with the possibility of loss, makes it an especially difficult time.
Losing the baby so late in the pregnancy was incredibly hard. Having Axel to care for gave us something to concentrate on, which was a positive, but it was still a very difficult time.
‘It took a while for us to get to the place where we felt, “OK, should we try this again?”‘
Alex shared that since leaving his football club Besiktas, he’s enjoyed being home with his son, Axel, and helping Perrie prepare for their new baby.
He shared that he’s enjoyed spending the last few months at home with Perrie and their son, Axel. Everyone is thrilled about the arrival of their new baby.
