Period drama branded ‘best on TV’ just announced a huge update and fans are thrilled

Just a moment ago, Channel 5 unveiled the eagerly awaited revival of the beloved historical series “All Creatures Great and Small“, which is currently airing its sixth season.

Today on Instagram, they shared a photo featuring a clapperboard displaying the title and brand of the show.

Great news – filming for Season 6 has commenced in picturesque Yorkshire today, as announced by the cast and crew! We eagerly look forward to revisiting Darrowby alongside everyone shortly.

The heartwarming series All Creatures Great and Small, set in the Yorkshire Dales during the late 1930s and 1940s, introduces Samuel West as the unconventional veterinary surgeon Siegfried Farnon. Initially, Siegfried takes on a new vet, James Herriot, portrayed by Nicholas Ralph, to assist him and his younger brother Tristan, played by Callum Woodhouse.

Developed by Ben Vanstone and first aired in 2020, the show is inspired by the collection of novels penned by Alf Wight under his pen name, James Herriot.

As a devoted fan myself, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that production on our favorite series has resumed following the delightful Christmas special in December!

1 Person said, “Absolutely amazing! It takes us to different worlds and eras. Can’t wait for Season 6!” Another added, “What a delight! It’s the best program on television.

The most exciting news! I can hardly wait to watch it, my all-time favourite TV program,” a third person expressed, with another fan already eager for future seasons: “Please confirm seasons 7 and 8. This is the best show on television.

Some viewers, eager for more, commented after watching the last episode of season 5: “I just watched and tears flowed freely. I can hardly bear the thought that another year will pass before we get more!

As a devoted viewer, I’m thrilled to share that the ensemble for this captivating series is completed by Anna Madeley stepping into the role of Mrs. Audrey Hall, the Farnons’ housekeeper. Moreover, Rachel Shenton graces our screens as Helen Herriot (née Alderson), and James Anthony-Rose brings Richard Carmody to life.

In the UK, the show “All Creatures Great and Small” can currently be found airing on Channel 5. However, as of now, there isn’t a specified release date for Season 6. On the other hand, you can stream seasons 1 through 5 on My5.
