District Vision has officially opened its first store in Los Angeles. More than just a retail space, it’s a place that truly represents the brand’s dedication to running and overall wellness. Founded by Tom Daly and Max Vallot, District Vision now has a permanent home that combines its store, office, and warehouse. This new location brings together the brand’s high-performance gear, ongoing research, and focus on mindful running, all in one place.
Founded in 2015 with roots in meditation workshops for runners, District Vision has always connected physical fitness with mental wellness. Their new flagship store embodies this philosophy. During the day, it functions as a regular retail space, but in the evenings, it becomes a center for meditation, exercise, and educational programs. These programs are key to the brand’s focus on ‘human technologies,’ and they offer consistent running and breathwork classes to people in the area.
To bring their design concept to life, District Vision partnered with SR Studio to create a flexible space that could host both new product releases and community events. The design draws heavily from Japanese engineering principles, creating a calm and minimalist atmosphere. The space features carefully selected materials like custom aluminum displays, alongside natural elements such as hinoki wood, vintage Japanese pottery, and California plants. Beyond offering eyewear services and a coffee bar, the store carries the full District Vision collection of clothing and eyewear, as well as popular collaborations with brands like New Balance and POST ARCHIVE FACTION.
