The crime drama Keeping Faith, which originally aired on BBC One in 2018 and stars Eve Myles, is now available on 5’s streaming service and is proving popular, currently ranking as the second most-watched show today.
The series centers on Faith Howells, played by Myles, as she investigates the sudden disappearance of her husband. She teams up with a former criminal to uncover clues and find out what happened.
As she investigates the mystery further, suspicion falls on her, and she becomes a murder suspect. Will she be able to solve the case and prove her innocence?
The TV series Keeping Faith had a unique production process. It was filmed at the same time as its Welsh-language counterpart, Un Bore Mercher, using the same actors for both versions.
The show originally launched in Welsh on S4C in 2017. The English version then debuted on BBC One Wales in early 2018, before being broadcast on BBC One across the rest of the UK later that same year.

The show is now available on Channel 5’s streaming service, continuing a trend of BBC programs finding new homes on other platforms. Other examples include Red Dwarf on Channel 4, Blackadder on ITVX, Detectorists on Disney+, and the 2020 Dracula series on Netflix.
And as people have already been doing, it’s a show worth checking out.
Critics overwhelmingly love the TV show Keeping Faith, giving it a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, this score is currently based on a limited number of reviews – 14 for season 1 and 7 for season 2.
Both The Sunday Times and The Observer praised Eve Myles’ performance in the show. The Sunday Times called her “excellent,” while The Observer said she is the show’s driving force.
Fan reactions are varied. Both the first and third seasons of the show have a 62% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on user reviews. There aren’t enough user ratings yet to calculate a score for season 2.
