Apple TV+ has shared an exciting update about its perfect crime series.
1971 is the backdrop for the movie “Women in Blue“, which narrates the inspiring tale of Mexico’s pioneering all-female police force, comprising four determined women who bravely challenged the rigidly conservative values of their time.
The show, formerly known as “Las Azules“, is a Spanish production that draws inspiration from real-life incidents and boasts a cast comprised solely of Latin American actors.
Ever since its premiere, the series has earned universal praise worldwide, as critics label it as “impeccably flawless” with an “engrossing plotline” that masterfully blends elements of thriller, humor, and addresses gender disparities. Furthermore, it boasts a remarkable 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on the opinions of 16 critics.
The streaming platform has officially confirmed that the series “Women in Blue” is returning for a second season, and they’ve already started filming the eight upcoming episodes.
The first season focuses on the main characters: María, played by Bárbara Mori, Ángeles (Ximena Sariñana), Valentina (Natalia Téllez) and Gabina (Amorita Rasgado). Together, they embark on a mission to apprehend a relentless murderer.
As a gamer diving back into the latest season, I’m excited to see familiar faces taking on fresh challenges when a brand-new wave of killings pushes our heroes deeper into the shadowy world they inhabit.
In the second season, newly-promoted Lieutenant María faces a challenge in upholding her professional demeanor due to the tug-of-war she experiences between adhering to her police obligations and uncovering the truth.
When the murder of a young college student is linked to additional victims, María delves into a potential deeper plot.
As a gamer, I find myself navigating through a labyrinth of secrets and pain, where the roles of hunter and hunted, victim and vengeance, blur into one another. The lines between reality and gameplay have become indistinct. Can my team and I manage to uncover the buried truths, face our painful reckonings, and ultimately escape this digital nightmare?
