Looking for a new show to watch? The Australian crime drama Deadloch, with Kate Box and Madeleine Sami, is getting great reviews and might be just what you need.
The show features actors playing detectives Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe, who investigate crimes in a coastal town in Tasmania. Although they work together, they have very different methods.
I was really excited when the crime drama came back earlier this month – it first came out in 2023. This season, we follow Dulcie and Eddie as they try to solve a new murder in a really isolated town. It’s been a great watch so far!

The mystery series Deadloch, starring Alicia Gardiner and Nina Oyama, is now available on Prime Video in the UK. It’s gaining attention after recently ranking as one of the platform’s top five most popular TV shows.
The series has received widespread praise from critics. Currently, Rotten Tomatoes shows a 100% approval rating based on 30 reviews from both seasons.

Slate
Imagine combining the British crime drama Broadchurch with a more feminist and less action-packed version of Hot Fuzz – that’s essentially what Deadloch is like. (And we’re not talking about the American remake of Broadchurch, Gracepoint.)
Autostraddle
This show cleverly reverses the typical crime drama trope of women being the victims. It’s refreshing and manages to balance serious emotional moments with a lot of humor.
The Guardian
The show’s dark and muted visual style – likely inspired by the dramatic landscapes of Tasmania – actually makes its funny moments stand out even more.

The Age Australia
Man, the final episode of this show was incredible! It just cemented for me that Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney are two of the most creative and exciting people working in Australian television right now. They really know how to deliver a fantastic show.
Decider
Season two of Deadloch remains a darkly comedic show, featuring a wonderfully odd-couple pairing of detectives who surprisingly make a great team.
Deadloch is streaming on Prime Video.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
