Perfect and “gripping” British psychological thriller that ‘hooks you from the jump’ to stream now

The psychological thriller The Devil’s Hour is gaining popularity on ITVX, currently ranking among its top 10 most-watched shows. Originally released on Prime Video in 2022, the series follows a woman plagued by disturbing visions who consistently wakes up at 3:33am – a time referred to as the “devil’s hour,” the unsettling period between 3am and 4am. It’s a truly chilling premise!

I’m totally hooked by this show! Alongside a really intriguing mystery, there’s a hunt for a killer, and it’s got me wondering: could a woman’s dreams actually be the thing that unlocks everything and solves these awful crimes?

Jessica Raine, known for her role in Call the Midwife, stars as the main character. Peter Capaldi, famous from Doctor Who, plays Gideon Shepherd, a puzzling criminal with a special talent. The cast also features Nikesh Patel (Starstruck) as detective inspector Ravi Dhillon, alongside Meera Syal (The Revenge Club) and Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso).

You can now watch both seasons of the drama series The Devil’s Hour on ITVX. Created by Tom Moran and executive produced by Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue (known for Sherlock), the show currently has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In a review of the first season, Common Sense Media noted that the series immediately grabs your attention with a tense opening scene: a damaged Lucy facing off against a creepy suspect who is chained up and talking to himself.
