Perfect 100%-rated drama branded a “true marvel” has just been added to UK streaming

Real-life miniseries I, Addict has been added to Disney+ in the UK.

Debuting in Spain just recently, the show titled “Yo, adicto” tells the story of Javier Giner, a media professional grappling with addiction to both alcohol and cocaine, who chooses to enter a rehabilitation center on his own accord.

The series is modeled after Giner’s autobiographical novel with the same title, featuring Oriol Pla as the main character.

The film titled “I, Addict” has garnered praise from critics and boasts a flawless Rotten Tomatoes rating of 100%, based on 5 evaluations thus far. As additional reviews pour in following its release in the UK, it’s expected that this score may change.

Previously this year, the series was widely acclaimed as a “real masterpiece.” One critique particularly appreciated the exceptional acting of Pla.

“It’s a true marvel and one of the best audiovisual pieces of 2024,” Espinof‘s review noted.

According to The Upcoming’s review, the movie titled I, Addict, powered by an exceptional performance from Pla, presents a staggeringly intense portrayal of addiction.

Additionally, you can now watch “The Survivors,” an Australian mystery drama, in the UK. This six-episode series on Netflix is based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Jane Harper.

The series is set in a Tasmanian coastal town that was rocked by three deaths 15 years prior.

In the wake of a fresh tragedy claiming a young life, character Kieran Elliott (portrayed by Charlie Vickers from The Rings of Power) is compelled to delve into his troubled history as the townspeople seek explanations and closure.
