Fans of Percy Jackson and the Olympians can rejoice after Disney renewed the show for a third season.
The fantasy-adventure series, which is based on Rick Riordan’s collection of novels, follows the titular character (played by Walker Scobell) as he balances ordinary life with the pressure of being a demigod.
Following the success of the first season in 2023, the show was renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere later this year. Ahead of the launch in December, it has now been confirmed that a third season has been greenlit, with novel The Titan’s Curse set to be adapted.

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, commented through Variety that from the initial release of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians“, it was evident that the series resonated with fans across various age groups. With the second season set to air in December, we’re excited to share that Percy’s adventure will carry on into a third season.
“Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.”
“We’re so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+,” added Riordan, who created the show alongside Jonathan E Steinberg. “This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favourites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time.

“It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!” continued the author, whose book series comprises seven novels.
In addition to Scobell, the cast for the show includes Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Daniel Diemer, Dior Goodjohn and Charlie Bushnell, with Jason Mantzoukas and Virginia Kull in recurring roles.
