Reportedly, the well-known Loose Women star, aged 53, and the seasoned rocker, aged 79, have been vigorously attempting to salvage their 17-year marriage. The issue arose when Rod decided against selling his £55million Beverly Hills mansion and instead opted to remain in the U.S. full-time, contradicting their initial plans to relocate back to the UK.
However, a video clip revealed that their affection wasn’t entirely mutual, as Penny passionately sang into the microphone, while her spouse admired her from afar during the debut of “Hopelessly Devoted” at The Ned London.

It’s been reported that the couple have been tirelessly trying to salvage their 17-year-long marriage, following the singer’s unexpected decision not to proceed with selling his $74 million estate in Beverly Hills and instead move back to the UK.
After Rod had mentioned that it was time for them to depart from the U.S., he then assured Penny they would relocate their lives from Los Angeles to a spacious £4million estate in Harlow, Essex, which eventually led to the occurrence of the event.
But DailyMail.com reported the pair are now at a ‘stalemate,’ with Rod refusing to leave LA.
A few weeks back, it was mentioned that Penny declined an extension of her stay following the expansion of her Las Vegas residency, as well as turning down two proposals for the vast nine-bedroom estate she owns.
News emerged several days later, following vague allusions by Penny (the wife of the Maggie May singer, whom she married in 2007 and shares sons Alastair, aged 18, and Aiden, 13) to personal family matters.
According to a reliable source, Rod is deeply fond of living in Los Angeles, and he frequently travels between there and Las Vegas for his performances.
He often spends high-quality, leisurely moments with his grandkids and regularly organizes a dinner party at his house almost every Sunday evening for his closest companions.
Rod announced his intention to move back to the United Kingdom by June 2023, as he put up his large Beverly Hills house (spanning approximately 33,000 square feet) for sale, complete with a three-story guest house, swimming pool, and a substantial soccer field, priced at around £52 million.
Initially, he increased the proposed selling price to £60 million in December. Later, in February, he reduced it by £4.5 million, resulting in an asking price of £55 million.
However, since then, Rod took the property off the market, causing frustration in Lancaster, a frequent guest on UK’s Loose Women, a special constable for the City of London Police, and someone who deeply cherishes the British countryside as their home.
As a devoted admirer sharing insights, I can confirm that neither Penny nor Rod is currently planning a return to Los Angeles or a relocation there, respectively, as both have expressed their personal preferences against it.
They find themselves in an impasse, and Penny is frustrated because Rod has broken his promise. At the moment, it’s all about trying to salvage their marriage.
