She might have been just 27-years-old when she met 53-year-old Rod Stewart.
Rod Stewart’s wife, Penny Lancaster, 54, jokingly claims she was his oldest partner – and that was quite a while ago.
He used to brag that the oldest woman he’d ever been with was only 30. Now, it seems the tables have turned – I’m now the oldest woman he’s been with!
For the cover of Woman and Home magazine, the mother of two-wearing a denim jumpsuit by Current/Elliot, a brand based in Los Angeles-shared details about her 18-year marriage to the musician from the band Faces.
The couple have two sons, Alistair, 19, and Aiden, 14. The model revealed that her 80-year-old husband regrets not starting a family with her sooner.
She explained that her greatest wish was to have children, but she understood her partner had already experienced that and might not want to again. She realized they could enjoy their time together, but she knew she would eventually need to move on to fulfill her desire for a family.

He often tells me he regrets not realizing sooner that they could have had more children. He says if they’d started trying earlier, they would have been able to. This is because, even after having Alastair and Aiden, we’d still discussed adopting.
Stewart had a daughter, Sarah, now 61, with his former girlfriend, Susannah Boffey, when he was 17. He placed Sarah for adoption, and the two later became romantically involved.
He shared three children: Kimberly, 47, and Sean, 45, with his former wife, Alana Stewart, and Ruby, 38, with ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg.
During his marriage to Rachel Hunter, the lead singer of the band Faces welcomed two more children: Renee, now 33, and Liam, age 30.
Meanwhile, Rod recently opened up about how his split from Rachel ‘tore him to shreds’.
Looking back on his divorce, Rod realized the age difference between him and his ex-wife was ultimately why they couldn’t stay together.
In a rare discussion about his former wife, he shared with The Times that Rachel ended their marriage because she felt she was too young. He also mentioned his sister had warned him against marrying her, and the separation was deeply painful for him.
I remember when Rod met Penny! It’s funny, really – he’d just gone through a split from Rachel, and he actually said he could have met Penny six months earlier! Apparently, his friend was holding out on giving Penny’s number to him – can you believe it? It all hinged on that one phone number!

He jokingly responded to the question of whether he’d wanted to be single, explaining there was a six-month gap between his relationships with Rachel and Penny. He blamed this on his bass player, who intentionally withheld Penny’s phone number from him.
He told me I’d basically be relaxing and enjoying myself, and he was spot on – those six months were wonderful.
Rod enthusiastically praised his wife, Penny, sharing that she possesses all the qualities he looks for in a partner and that he’s currently feeling incredibly happy.
Rod Stewart first encountered his former wife, Rachel, at a Los Angeles club called Roxbury. In his 2012 autobiography, he described being instantly captivated by her, calling her a ‘goddess’.
He said they clicked instantly. She was stunning, but also very direct and practical.
‘It was there in her New Zealand accent, but also in her face, which was open and smart.
She defied the typical model stereotype – she was already successful and financially secure.
It was such a relief to find out her feelings were genuine. I always wondered if she liked *me*, or just what I could offer her.
