As a seasoned music enthusiast who has attended countless concerts over the years, I must say that the news about Rod Stewart’s postponed shows left me feeling a bit like a ship without a rudder. The anticipation of seeing such a legendary artist live is always an exciting prospect, and when it gets cancelled at the last minute, it can be quite disheartening.

As a wellness advocate, I’m here to share some updates that have been making waves recently. After a challenging turn of events, the esteemed Sir Rod Stewart found himself grappling with another bout of health issues, leading him to postpone additional performances. Lady Penny Lancaster has now stepped forward to address this situation from her perspective.

Previously, the woman aged 53, shared an endearing flashback photo on her Instagram Stories, which captured the couple standing among the singer’s eight kids and their respective partners.

During a vacation bathed in sunlight, Penny was stunningly beautiful in a deep red dress with a neckline that plunged, while Sir Rod knelt gracefully to be included in the photograph, always impeccably dressed.

The former Loose Women star captioned the snap: ‘Happy Memories’.

Since 2007, the revered rock star has been wedded to Penny, and they are proud parents of two boys: Alastair, who is 18 years old, and Aiden, who turns 13 this year. They share these wonderful sons together.

Additionally, present were Kimberly (age 44) and Sean (age 43) – Rod’s offspring from his marriage with actress Alana Stewart.

In the presence, his daughter Ruby (aged 36), who is engaged to Jake Kalic, along with their son Otis, was also present.

Additionally, Renee, aged 32, who is the daughter from the marriage between him and actress Rachel Hunter, brought along her partner, Adam Sumner.

On the other hand, neither Liam, his son by Rachel at age 29, nor Sarah Streeter, his firstborn and adopted child at 60 years old, appeared in any of the pictures.

On Friday evening, the musician posted on Instagram that due to testing positive for COVID-19, he wouldn’t be able to perform at an upcoming concert that same night, as well as one scheduled for the next day.

The news arrives a few days following an unfortunate turn of events where Rod had to postpone his significant 200th Las Vegas performance on Wednesday, owing to contracting strep throat.

Originally scheduled to perform at Stateline, Nevada on Friday and Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, California later this week, the artist behind Maggie May’s hit has had those shows postponed instead.

It was verified that the concerts are being rescheduled for later in this month, allowing Rod ample time to recuperate from his ailment.

I’m sorry to inform you that this evening’s Rod Stewart concert in Stateline, NV and his August 10th show in Lincoln, CA have been delayed due to the fact that the singer is recovering from a summer bout of COVID-19.

The Lincoln, California concert at Thunder Valley Casino has been moved to August 18th. Also, the concert at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys in Stateline, Nevada has been shifted to August 20th. If you’re a ticket holder, please keep your tickets as they will be valid for the new dates of the shows.

Enthusiasts of the rocker didn’t hesitate to express their thoughts on the recent news, most of them sending well wishes for a swift recovery.

Nevertheless, some people voiced their dissatisfaction due to the late cancellation, explaining that they had already journeyed to be part of the concert.

News arrives following the cancellation of Rod’s 200th residency celebration show in Las Vegas due to a case of strep throat. The performance scheduled at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was scrapped merely hours prior.

Strep throat is a bacterial infection that can make your throat feel sore and scratchy.

In a message to his 1.4 million Instagram followers, Rod expressed his deep regret for being unable to attend the celebration of the 200th show.

It seems that most individuals are able to carry on working despite having strep throat, but unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to me. I’m really disappointed because I’ve been eagerly anticipating this concert for such a long time.

I sincerely apologize for any trouble this situation may have brought about. Fortunately, we’re looking forward to reconnecting in the year 2025, and I genuinely hope we can meet again then.

Over the past 13 extraordinary years, I’ve had the privilege of gracing the same stage every week, and now, come Wednesday, it’s my turn to wrap up this amazing journey – a journey that has been my life!

Indeed, music enthusiasts will undoubtedly rejoice as Rod has officially confirmed his return to Las Vegas for a string of encore performances set in the upcoming spring season.

Before unveiling my health predicament, I shared on social media, “Las Vegas, the fun here is beyond measure, it’s like a dream that shouldn’t end. So, we’re planning a reprise performance!”

Don’t forget to catch The Encore Shows Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March 12-22 and May 29-June 8! You can buy tickets starting Monday at 10am PT.

In 2011, I had the privilege of debuting my show, “Rod Stewart: The Hits,” on a renowned stage in the heart of London, a city where I was born and raised.

Even though Rod is scheduled to depart from Sin City in the year 2025, having consistently sold out 90% of his performances each night, it’s possible that he could return to the stage ahead of schedule.
