‘Penniless’ Alice Evans demands financial lifeline from ex loan Gruffudd to keep a roof over daughters’ heads as divorce battle hits boiling point

This week, the contentious court struggle between actress Alice Evans and her former partner, Ioan Gruffudd (known for his role in Fantastic Four), over increased financial support for her and their two minor children, will reach a climactic point.

On Wednesday, I’ll be present in a courtroom in downtown L.A., where I understand the former couple will meet. In this setting, I’ll be asking Judge Stinn to elevate the current $4,500 monthly payment that Gruffudd, aged 51, is responsible for, which was set by him, at 56 years old.

Leading up to the upcoming court case this week, DailyMail.com has acquired court papers submitted by Evans. In these documents, she stated her financial struggles and admitted to being so cash-strapped that she had to ask friends for loans and establish a GoFundMe page which accumulated $18,000 in donations.

She mentioned that she along with her daughters, Ella who is 15 and Elsie at 11 years old, have been forced out of their Los Angeles residence due to not being able to meet the $6,500 monthly rental expenses.

She contended that she had to ‘burn through’ her savings to pay living expenses and legal fees.

She firmly believed that Gruffudd, having recently married Bianca Wallace, 32, in April, is financially capable of covering a higher child support payment exceeding the current $3,000 monthly amount and an increased spousal support of $1,500 per month compared to what he pays now.

However, Gruffudd contests his ex’s financial requests and, in his own court submission, expresses skepticism towards Evans’ assertions. He claims that she deliberately arranged her own eviction… by willfully stopping rental payments and instead opting to take the children on a European vacation trip instead.

His intention, as he explained, was to bolster her misleading public story about being financially struggling, with the aim of damaging my reputation even further……by using this tactic as a dishonest means to pressure me into paying more alimony than I can reasonably afford.

Griffith further argued that the subpoenaed bank documents indicate that instead of being financially struggling, Evans reportedly earned over $130,000 in the year 2024 and is projected to earn a comparable amount this current year. This assertion was disputed by Evans as ‘inaccurate and deceptive.’

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share my feelings about a recent court filing by Gruffudd. He revealed that he was deeply distressed to receive numerous anxious messages from our children, who were merely repeating Alice’s untrue and manipulated claims of imminent homelessness.

In the newly submitted legal papers, Evans asserts that she did not coerce the children into sending emotional messages to their father.

She stated that she never instructed the children to contact Gruffudd regarding our impending eviction and potential homelessness. The kids, however, are fully cognizant of our financial predicament and the looming eviction.

In his latest court document, Evans dismissed Gruffudd’s allegation that his former partner was breaching a three-year domestic abuse restraining order. He claimed this was done through acts such as physical following, persistent harassment, and sharing disparaging comments about him online.

She described the restraining order as an attempt by Gruffudd to silence me and infringe upon my First Amendment freedoms.

Furthermore, she emphasized, “There’s not a shred of proof supporting the claim of stalking… I don’t know, and frankly couldn’t care less, about where he and his wife reside. It’s preposterous to even suggest such a thing.

In August 2022, Gruffudd successfully obtained a restraining order following his testimony to the court about Evans’s actions. He explained that Evans had orchestrated a malicious campaign of harmful text messages, emails, and social media posts, all intended to intimidate him, his fiancée Bianca Wallace, and to estrange their two young children from him.

Next month, the restraining order against Gruffudd will expire, prompting him to return to court on August 1 to petition Judge Stinn for an extension. It’s anticipated that his new spouse, Bianca Wallace, will provide testimony opposing Evans during this hearing.

At the upcoming hearing on August 1st, Gruffudd, who has recently achieved great success with his film ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ that earned over $400 million globally, stated that he will be summoning witnesses and providing evidence to demonstrate Alice’s ongoing mistreatment.

Griffith and Evans crossed paths on the film set of “102 Dalmatians” over two decades back. Their bond deepened off-screen, culminating in a Mexican wedding ceremony in 2007.

In March 2021, Gruffudd initiated the process of divorce, not long after Evans revealed on social platforms that her partner of 14 years had decided to part ways with her.

They were divorced in July 2023.
