In an unexpected turn for Penn Badgley‘s and Domino Kirke’s real-life narrative, they recently experienced a significant change – a plot twist that rivals the suspense found in Gossip Girl or You.

The actor, 38, and the British-American singer, 41, revealed they are expecting twins.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Kirke announced that not one, but two more babies are due this summer! What a surprise twist indeed! The spontaneity of twin pregnancies is simply captivating magic.

A delightful update showcased a heartfelt picture of Kirke’s expanding belly, with Badgley and their 4-year-old son affectionately kissing it gently.

In a delightful expansion, it turns out that Kirke is not only a mother but also to a 15-year-old son named Cassius, who comes from a past relationship. This makes their growing family even more filled with joy.

The news follows closely on the heels of Penn discussing his approach to parenting, including strategies he employs to maintain his composure around his children.

In an unexpected step, the actor who gained fame from “You” revealed additional insights into his personal family matters during a live recording of the Modern Love podcast on February 21, held at the Wythe Hotel, as reported by People.

In the podcast, he shared an instance when he felt he might have been too terse with his son. He disclosed that he managed to stay composed by practicing deep breaths.

Badgley admitted that at the time, he was being too hasty with the person, and they likely didn’t appreciate his tone. He asked directly if this was the case.

He explained that he then apologized to his son afterwards. 

In his subsequent discussion, Badgley addressed the challenges associated with parenthood, admitting candidly that there are sometimes difficult phases in this life’s voyage.

In certain instances, things might become challenging, and you may feel drained or simply fed up. However, there will always be moments, especially when being a parent, where your patience wears thin, he confessed during the live recording, as reported by People.

For myself, it’s their tiny size that captivates me, coupled with their innocence and vulnerability. Other people might test my temper, without a doubt, but not him.

In February 2017, the individual named Badgley, a resident of New York, got married to Kirke. Three years after that, in August 2020, they were blessed with a child.

Just recently, the actor from Easy A shared his thoughts on parenthood, which followed closely on the heels of a re-emerged video featuring his former Gossip Girl co-star, Blake Lively, where she jokingly mentioned that she had “tainted” the cast against him.

In a candid statement, Blake Lively, known for her portrayal of socialite Serena Van Der Woodsen in the series, expressed her disappointment upon learning of Ed Westwick’s (Dan Humphrey) casting by stating she was ‘very disappointed’. Subsequently, she made efforts to sway others against him.

In an interview with Glamour magazine back in 2009, she initially expressed her displeasure, saying something like, ‘Initially, I was so disappointed that they chose him to work with us.’ However, her feelings escalated to the point where she tried to create a negative atmosphere among the entire cast regarding him.

‘But then they noticed that he wasn’t a jerk and was actually a really nice, charming person.’

She added: ‘Almost immediately I realized that too, but it took me about a week to admit it.’

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share some insights about the cast dynamics – I can assure you there’s nothing but camaraderie among them! After wrapping up our filming sessions, we often gather for quality time. In fact, the prospect of hanging out with each other beyond work is something we genuinely relish.

It’s worth noting that they were together from 2007 to 2010, quite remarkably, during the time they portrayed each other’s romantic partners on the series.

Presently, Emily Blunt, formerly linked with Badgley, is entangled in a complex web of legal issues alongside her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni.

The movie, based off of a book by author Colleen Hoover, premiered this summer in theatres.  

In December, Lively initiated a legal action against Baldoni, alleging instances of sexual harassment and defamation against her through a malicious campaign.

In a court case I was involved with, I asserted that Mr. Baldoni invaded my privacy by entering my trailer when I was bare-chested. Furthermore, I alleged he displayed explicit footage of his spouse delivering a baby, and in the heat of an unscripted kissing sequence, he forcefully kissed me, biting and sucking on my lips.

In response, he initiated a lawsuit worth $400 million against Lively, and additionally filed a suit against The New York Times for $250 million. He asserted that the newspaper predominantly relied on Lively’s unsubstantiated and self-beneficial story, copying it almost word-for-word while disregarding a wealth of evidence that contradicted her statements.

The disagreement has intensified further, with Baldoni sharing unedited film set footage and creating a site containing court-related documents to defend himself, while Lively has issued subpoenas to mobile providers to obtain additional records as their legal dispute continues.

Baldoni, Lively and Reynolds have all denied the allegations against them in the lawsuits.
