Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde Slams Peter Dutton with Wild Stage Chant at Aussie Gig
Over the weekend, Abby Chatfield’s partner openly expressed his political opinions during a performance in Margaret River.
On Saturday evening, Adam Hyde, one half of the DJ duo Peking Duk alongside Reuben Styles, performed a show at the Settlers Tavern. Notably, it was disclosed that the Labour party, under the leadership of Anthony Albanese, had emerged victorious in the 2025 Australian election.
At the boisterous concert, Adam performed The Angels’ 1977 hit “Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again.” He could be heard directing a chant, shouting into the microphone: ‘Absolutely not, mess with Dutton,’ which the audience echoed.
It’s believed that the DJ might have been talking about Peter Dutton, a prominent member of the Liberal Party whose poll numbers dropped significantly and who lost his parliamentary position on Saturday evening.
In the video, Adam donned a white sleeveless shirt, displaying his well-defined, inked biceps, accompanied by a snug pair of black trousers with a belt.
The lead singer, who started seeing media figure Abbie in June, sported a wavy hairstyle cascading down his shoulders while whipping up the audience into a frenzy.

After Abbie had been moved to tears, she decided to go live on Instagram to share her immediate feelings as the votes for the 2025 Federal Election were being tallied in real time.
In a heartfelt moment, the 29-year-old host of It’s A Lot podcast, visibly emotional, celebrated the drop in Peter Dutton’s poll numbers. She expressed her pride towards Australians for backing Anthony Albanese and the Green party.
She expressed that this election is crucial, perhaps more significant than any other we’ve had. A lot hangs in the balance… It’s such a relief to consider the possibility of residing in a nation where most residents don’t harbor hatred, which is essential for our emotional well-being.
I firmly believe that Australians, on the whole, are both intelligent and compassionate individuals… It seemed to me that there was a degree of division among you similar to what we experience in America; however, this outcome demonstrates that such divisions may not be as prevalent.
‘We are so lucky to live in the best election system in the whole world.’
Regarding Adam Bandt, Green Party leader whom Abbie has consistently backed, the ex-reality TV personality expressed her dismay that his party wasn’t leading, yet found pleasure in seeing Opposition Leader Peter Dutton lagging behind.
In my heart, I express deep concern over the current state of the Greens, yet… I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride when I see Australians choosing a different path than that taken by Americans during their recent presidential election with Donald Trump as the winner.
She added that she’s been relentlessly harassed online, both by her critics and Liberal supporters, in the run-up to the election.

She stated, “I’ve never experienced such intense online harassment. I’ve been subjected to the most abusive forms of it. This has been the most severe it’s ever been. Despite everything, it’s all been worthwhile.
Just prior to the voting, Abbie encouraged her supporters to rank the Liberals last on their ballots. She did this while posting a collection of pictures where she was seen alongside Bandt.
She put on vibrant green trousers and a white t-shirt to express her solidarity with the party, while posing for photos alongside the Green Party’s leader.
A picture showed Chatfield perched on a desk, crossing her arms, while Bandt put on a pair of dark sunglasses and sat down behind the desk.
In the final picture from the collection, Abby could be seen ecstatically raising her arms and leaping with delight right by a Green Party poster.
‘AUSTRALIA YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!’ she captioned the reel.
‘PUT GREENS FIRST AND THE LIBS LAST! KEEP DUTTON (the goo) OUT WHILE MAKING LABOR ACT!!
‘I AM SO SCARED RN!!!!!!!!! How do u feel rn??’
