Peer Randle Siddeley vows revenge for ‘holiday from hell’ to Sharm El Sheikh

As I reminisce about the 1980s, it seems like a different era altogether. Women were impeccably dressed, their hair was always on point, and they took great care of their appearance – just like Dame Joan Collins recalls. It reminds me of my grandmother who used to say, “Darling, if you don’t have time to look good, you don’t have time to look bad.

Known for his exceptional work in landscaping, Randle Siddeley is accustomed to creating perfection in his craft.

However, when it comes to arranging vacations, he finds himself annoyed because others seem not as meticulous about the details as he is.

4th Lord Kenilworth, Siddeley, arranged a £2,300 vacation package via Lastminute.com for his wife, Kayo Takauchi, and her daughter Jasmine (age 32). Regrettably, this trip turned into a series of unfortunate events.

Initially, it appeared that the vacation package included a four-night stay in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt; however, the flights were actually directed towards Hurghada, located on the opposite side of the Gulf of Suez. This meant an arduous ten-hour, 500-mile journey by road to reach their hotel destination.

When Lady Kenilworth and Jasmine discovered their predicament, it had already become untimely. As Lord Kenilworth shared with me, “A sense of urgency overtook us.” They found themselves stranded at the airport, past midnight, being two women in a foreign land where they couldn’t communicate effectively due to the language barrier.

When they attempted to switch hotels within the same chain close to Hurghada, Lastminute.com informed them that the timeframe for cancellations had passed, making it impossible to make the transfer.

As a diligent follower, let me express my frustration. I penned down two messages to Lastminute, but I’ve received no response whatsoever. It’s hard for me to comprehend such behavior from a tour operator. Their actions have effectively spoiled my holiday experience, and it seems only fair that they compensate accordingly.

He mentions that his wife and her daughter are extremely drained from the entire ordeal. Under no circumstances should one use Lastminute.com.

I, Kenilworth, have had the privilege of being married to four extraordinary women throughout my life. My first spouse was the diligent dental hygienist, Kim Serfontein; my second was the prominent society jeweler, Kiki McDonough; my third was the charismatic Canadian charity leader, Catherine Bachand.

Will Marina land a place at the King’s club?

Sporting her cascading golden locks, and living by the creed ‘Eat, rest, fish’, Marina Gibson has significantly contributed to popularizing fly-fishing. Rumors even circulate that she’s the one who taught David Beckham the proper way to grip his fishing rod.

Now, she may be about to celebrate her most satisfying catch.

It appears that the Flyfishers’ Club, graced by King Charles as its patron, will cast a vote today concerning the inclusion of women as members. This decision comes following persistent advocacy by Marina. Notably, the club has previously denied women the opportunity to dine at their Mayfair establishment.

‘Members are expected to vote for the change,’ says my man with the flies, hooks and parrs.

Marina, aged 33, isn’t one for political correctness. She expressed displeasure when the BBC began utilizing the unpleasant term ‘fisherfolk’ on its main Today program.

She expressed that the term “fishing-person” doesn’t sit well with her. She finds it odd and prefers more traditional terms such as “fisherman.” However, she emphasizes that this term is not exclusive to men, so feel free to call her an angler instead, but never refer to her as a “fisher-person.

Or you might end up battered.

Queen’s niece joins New York fashion posse

Yeehaw! Queen Camilla’s niece Ayesha Shand made an eye-catching entrance at New York Fashion Week.

At the Jonathan Cohen runway presentation, the daughter of the late conservationist Mark Shand (who was also the Queen’s nephew) donned a cream cowboy hat and a blue leather gown.

‘Fashion darling,’ Shand, 29, jokes online.

She works at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in New York – her father died in the city after a fall in 2014 aged 62.

She moved to the Big Apple last year to work in the art hub’s offices. Princess Eugenie is a director of Hauser & Wirth.

Eve Graham making a comeback

Eve Graham, of Seventies supergroup The New Seekers, is making a comeback at the age of 81.

“The performer known for ‘I’d Like To Teas a Song to the Entire World’ has a concert scheduled in Scotland this December, but she confesses that she hasn’t sung at home for six years.

A while back, I visited Club 83 in Dundee. There, I struck up a conversation with the performing band, and I found myself thinking, “What the hell?” Since I might end up regretting it or appearing awkward, but still… I decided to go ahead!

Bring back power dressing, says Joan

Joan Collins, the renowned actress, mentions that she and her husband, Percy Gibson, often face public ridicule due to their sophisticated choice of attire.

Expressing a fondness for the fashion trends of her Dynasty era, the actress admits that she sometimes faces teasing about her choice to dress similarly.

In a casual setting, Percy and I might find ourselves stepping into an elevator, both of us donned in blazers, shirts, and chinos. I’ll be sporting a straw hat, and as we enter, some people glance at us, seemingly unimpressed, remarking with a hint of derision, “Wow, you two are quite formally dressed.

Reflecting on the 1980s, she notes that the women in the news reels were always impeccably dressed and had stylish hair. They appeared to put a great deal of effort into their appearance. You understand, right?

Dame Edna creator ‘hurt’ over name being stripped from award

As a devoted admirer and friend, I can confirm that Barry Humphries, the brilliant mind behind Dame Edna, was deeply pained when his name was removed from an Australian comedy award. This information comes directly from my good friend, David Walliams.

‘Why expect a man in his 80s to have the same opinions as people 50 years younger?’ Walliams asks.

In the year 2019, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival chose not to associate the Barry Award with him anymore, following his remarks that identifying as transgender is merely a trend or “fashion.

Humphries died last year aged 89.

Si King appeals for help finding pal’s stolen bike

Television chef Si King is asking for assistance in locating a friend’s stolen motorcycle. As he puts it, “The bike that holds a special place is what was taken from my friend.

In June, his buddy took a journey on a Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle, traveling from London to Cumbria as a tribute to their shared friend and colleague, Dave Myers, who sadly passed away at the age of 66 in February.

King humbly requests that if possible, you could return what was taken. He acknowledges that he has felt a personal impact from this situation.

Sting’s still snappy

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! The legendary Sting and the phenomenal Billy Joel are teaming up for a joint tour – it’s a dream come true for music fans like me! Yet, even in this magical collaboration, I sense there’s a boundary to their friendship.

In his own words, Sting mentions that we both have access to the same dressing room area. He often pops in to grab something on loan. However, when he requested to wear one of my suits, I had to decline his offer.

Joel had his eye on a shiny silver number.

This item was tailored specifically for me back in 1978, for the movie ‘Quadrophenia’. Amazingly, it still fits me perfectly. I guess that shows how much I value my appearance.
