Pedro Pascal’s “ultraviolent” spy sequel with “terrific” action is now streaming for free
If you’re eagerly anticipating more of Pedro Pascal, you might want to rewatch a thrilling action role of his that’s available for free.
Following his standout portrayal of Oberyn Martell in “Game of Thrones” and prior to assuming the role of Joel Mille in “The Last of Us”, Pascal appeared in yet another violent series.
In the movie “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” which was released in 2017 and can now be streamed for free on ITVX in the UK, the actor portrayed a character named Jack Daniels, also known as Agent Whiskey.

In 2014, we were introduced to the world of “Kingsman: The Secret Service”. Now, a continuation of that story has been created, once again under the skillful direction of Matthew Vaughn, and in collaboration with Jane Goldman on the script.
The movie garnered a variety of opinions when it was initially launched, now holding a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 51%. Although the reviews were inconsistent, Empire commended the intense, gory action as “outstanding”, deeming the sequel “equally violent as the original film and equally explicit.
In this new setup, Pascal is cast opposite Taron Egerton, reprising his role as Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, who has been formally inducted into the covert ranks of Kingsman intelligence agency.
In the second movie, the Kingsman agents join forces with their U.S. counterparts from the Statesman – a clandestine organization disguised as a bourbon distillery in Kentucky. This is why Pascal’s undercover agent persona has a whiskey-related name.
As a gamer, I’d say: In this action-packed cinematic spectacle under the stars, I’m playing Colin Firth, mentoring Eggsy as Harry Hart, sipping Jeff Bridges as Champagne, and throwing down with Channing Tatum, who’s my partner in crime as Tequila. And let’s not forget Julianne Moore, she’s the ruthless drug queenpin Poppy Adams, causing chaos on screen!
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the Kingsman series continued with a prequel, The King’s Man, released in 2021. On the other hand, the 2024 film Argylle, which didn’t fare well at the box office, found its connection to Vaughn’s cinematic universe.
Upcoming appearance for Pascal: Ari Aster’s COVID-themed satire, “Eddington,” which had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and garnered favorable feedback.
I, too, find myself entangled in the love triangle that unfolds in “Materialists,” the sophomore work of filmmaker Celine Song, following her critically-acclaimed debut, “Past Lives.
In this rendition, Pascal plays the role of Harry Castillo, while Dakota Johnson portrays Lucy, a highly successful New York City matchmaker who struggles to find her own romantic partner. She has an up-and-down relationship with her ex, John, played by Chris Evans.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is available to stream on ITVX in the UK.
