Pedro Pascal shares The Fantastic Four cast photo ahead of filming
As a die-hard Marvel fan with years of experience following the intricacies of the MCU, I can hardly contain my excitement as Pedro Pascal shares the first behind-the-scenes look at The Fantastic Four cast in London. Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are already hard at work filming our beloved superhero quartet’s MCU debut.
Marvel enthusiasts are in for a treat with the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” release, but here’s an additional reason to get thrilled: Pedro Pascal has unveiled the first picture of the “Fantastic Four” cast coming together.
Before filming begins next week, he posted a picture on Instagram featuring himself with Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn in London. Additionally, there’s another photo of Matt Shakman, the director.
In his post, Pascal expressed that their initial task was the topic at hand, sparking excitement among Marvel fans as if they were all present together.
It was intriguing that fans anticipated seeing the stars at Comic-Con on July 27, particularly during Marvel Studios’ major panel.
If they are currently in London, it’s unlikely they will make a physical appearance. But, it would be surprising if they didn’t produce a video recording instead.
Marvel Studios might have begun filming right after Comic-Con, making it unlikely for them to be in San Diego during that time. Previously, Marvel Studios’ boss Kevin Feige mentioned they would “start shooting the Monday following Comic-Con”.
He was thrilled to no end as these characters, stalwarts and icons of the Marvel Universe, had yet to be fully explored or experienced by audiences.
Based on my extensive knowledge and love for Marvel Comics, I have to admit that I’m quite intrigued by the upcoming MCU adaptation of The Fantastic Four. However, as someone who has been a devoted fan since my childhood, I must confess that I’m still in the dark about some crucial details. We don’t have much information beyond the fact that the story will be set in the 1960s – but it may not be the same 1960s that we all know and love from history books. As someone who has spent countless hours poring over comic books, I can’t help but wonder what this means for the iconic characters and their origins. Only time will tell if Marvel Studios manages to stay true to the source material while bringing a fresh take to the big screen.
Beyond the leading ensemble, the film features Julia Garner portraying Shalla-Bal, an alternate name for Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. Additionally, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser are part of the cast, though their characters remain unidentified at present.
Some Marvel enthusiasts are intrigued by Lyonne’s role and have put forth a popular hypothesis: she might be portraying Alicia Masters, who is romantically linked to Ben Grimm in the comics.
Perhaps we’ll get some official confirmation at Comic-Con, even if the cast aren’t there.
The Fantastic Four is released in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
