Peaky Blinders star confirms she won’t be in movie despite “discussions” over return
Peaky Blinders star Kate Phillips has confirmed that she won’t appear in the upcoming movie.
The movie titled “The Immortal Man” is set to unfold the storyline that concluded in the sixth season of a popular TV series, primarily focusing on the Shelby family amidst World War II.
In a recent announcement, it’s been made clear that the actress who portrayed Arthur Shelby’s wife Linda on the show will not be featured in the upcoming movie, contrary to earlier talks about her potential comeback.
She informed Radio Times that she won’t be returning to the role of Linda. There had been talks, but unfortunately, those conversations didn’t lead to anything concrete.
The performer from Miss Scarlet expressed: “Being in that fantastic series was a delight, and Steven Knight still nurtures ideas about the storyline and future of Peaky Blinders. It’s wonderful to collaborate on his aspirations and visions for the show.
An actor’s life is often a matter of following other people’s ideas, which can sometimes feel like a game of patience and anticipation. However, I’m eager to watch the movie. I’ve read the script, and I’m thrilled to see how it unfolds on the silver screen. I have no doubt it will be spectacular!
In this movie, we see the comeback of several key actors: Cillian Murphy playing Tommy Shelby, Stephen Graham portraying Hayden Stagg, Sophie Rundle in her role as Ada Thorne, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, and Ian Peck appearing as Curly.
Fresh faces joining the cast are Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo, but specific details about their characters are currently confidential.
In other news, the world of Peaky Blinders, as confirmed by its creator Steven Knight, will carry on following the release of the movie.
He implied, “It’s still ongoing, if you will. I can’t explicitly say it, but I’m hinting that the realm of ‘Peaky Blinders’ persists.
The Immortal Man does not yet have a confirmed release date.
