Okay, so I just heard some cool news! Finn Cole, who you probably know from Peaky Blinders, is going to be the lead in a new movie called Gable. Apparently, it’s based on the true story of Dan Gable, this legendary Olympic wrestler – like, seriously one of the best ever. I’m definitely checking that one out when it comes out!
I’m really excited about this new game, Gable. It’s gonna tell the story of this athlete’s life, starting with a tough childhood in Iowa. Apparently, his family went through something really awful when he was young, and the game will show how that shaped him.
The film will highlight his commitment to wrestling, tracing his journey from a successful high school and college athlete to his participation in the 1972 Olympics in Munich.

Finn Cole, known for his work on Animal Kingdom, will play the main character, Gable. He’ll be joined by Ben Foster, Leslie Bibb, and KJ Apa, though their roles haven’t been announced yet.
Emmy nominee Jon Greenhalgh will direct the movie from a script written with Michael Wallach.
What to Read Next
Everyone knows Dan is famous for his incredibly hard work and dedication to training,” said Greenhalgh. “But this movie is about the person he is underneath that tough exterior – what really drives him.”
Shaun Redick is producing the project alongside Yvette Yates Redick through their Impossible Dream production company. He also announced that Steve Brown, a highly skilled former wrestler, will be coordinating the stunts.

He’s collaborating with our director, Zack Esposito – who is also an NCAA wrestling champion – to create a uniquely immersive and intense experience for the audience, showcasing the most exciting parts of the story like never before.
Yvette Yates Redick explained that she was first attracted to the story because of the heavy burdens the family faced, something she connected with deeply as a mother.
She explained that behind Dan’s successes lies a powerful story about overcoming challenges, building relationships, and discovering meaning in life through his connections with others.
