Actors Sam Claflin, famously known for his role in Peaky Blinders, and Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory are joining forces for the upcoming dramatic series titled Vanished. This captivating production is set to deliver a blend of mystery and peril.
According to Deadline, actresses Karin Viard and Matthias Schweighöfer are set to join the cast of the upcoming series. The story revolves around the character portrayed by Kaley Cuoco, who is on a mission to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of her boyfriend (played by Claflin).
Under the banner of AGC Television, the upcoming series titled “Vanished” will be helmed by director Barnaby Thompson, who has previously worked on films like “St Trinian’s” and “Pixie“. Stuart Ford is set to produce this project. The production is scheduled to commence in April (28th), with filming happening in Paris and Marseille.
During a surprise trip to Paris for a romantic escape, Alice (Cuoco) finds her world turned upside down when Tom (Claflin), her boyfriend, mysteriously vanishes on a train bound for the south of France. As Alice delves deeper into the mystery surrounding his disappearance, she uncovers hidden truths about the man she believed she knew, leading her into a labyrinth of intrigue and peril.
Actor Tom Claflin, recognized for portraying Oswald Mosley in BBC’s “Peaky Blinders,” gained popularity through his role as Finnick Odair in the “Hunger Games” movie franchise. His subsequent projects include “Enola Holmes” and “Daisy Jones & The Six.

Kaley Cuoco portrayed Penelope “Penny” Hofstadter across all 12 seasons of “The Big Bang Theory,” a sitcom that ran from 2007 to 2019, amounting to a grand total of 279 episodes before its finale.
Though the character quickly gained popularity among fans, it was originally challenging for co-creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros Television Group chairman Peter Roth to develop a more layered portrayal of this character.

According to Lorre, we initially had numerous episodes without fully realizing the depth of Penny’s character. However, as the story unfolded, it became clear that there was a remarkable intelligence hidden within her character, which we hadn’t previously discovered. Initially, Penny’s character was portrayed in a common stereotype – the goofy, blonde woman who often said things without much thought.
Initially, the character seemed stereotypically unintelligent, akin to the “dumb blonde” trope. However, upon further exploration, it became evident that she possessed an unexpected depth of wisdom – a kind of intelligence that was foreign to the other characters, encompassing insights into people, relationships, and family matters.
Vanished has no release date.
