Steven Knight’s hit crime series Peaky Blinders is set to return with two brand new series.
The news was officially announced in a BBC press release, stating: “The popular series Peaky Blinders will be back with more action, airing on both the BBC and Netflix, and will follow the story of a new group of Shelby family members.”
This news arrives before the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, The Immortal Man, which is still without a confirmed release date.

Here’s a quick look at what’s coming in the new Peaky Blinders: it will take place in Birmingham in 1953. The show will depict a city rebuilding itself with concrete and steel after being severely damaged during World War II.
A new chapter in Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders begins with a fierce battle for control of Birmingham’s huge rebuilding efforts. This is a city filled with both incredible chances and serious threats, and the Shelby family is right in the middle of all the violence and ambition.

Regarding the future of the series, the show’s creator, Knight, stated: “I’m very excited to share this next phase of the Peaky Blinders narrative.”
The story will once again be set in Birmingham, focusing on the city’s recovery after the bombing raids of the Birmingham blitz. A new generation of the Shelby family is now in charge, and it promises to be an intense and thrilling story.
The next story will continue after The Immortal Man, which takes place during World War II and also centers around the Shelby family. While Cillian Murphy, Stephen Graham, Ned Dennehy, Sophie Rundle, Ian Peck, and Packy Lee are confirmed to return for the full-length movie, it hasn’t been announced who will appear in the new series.

I’m really excited to hear that Kudos is producing this new series! They did such a great job with SAS: Rogue Heroes, and I’ve been totally hooked on House of Guinness – it just dropped on Netflix and it’s already number one, which is awesome. Knowing they’re behind this gives me a lot of confidence it’s going to be good!
Similarly, House of Guinness is a historical drama that centers on the grown-up children of Benjamin Guinness, who recently passed away and owned the brewery.
Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, and Fionn O’Shea play the Guinness siblings. They’re dealing with the surprising consequences of their father’s will and trying to manage the important task of maintaining the Guinness family name and history.

The Guinness family is famous globally – a mix of fortune, hardship, strength, impact, and significant sorrow all combine to form a compelling story,” Knight explained when the show was initially revealed last year.
I’ve long been captivated by these tales, and I’m thrilled to share these characters with everyone.
House of Guinness also features James Norton, known from Happy Valley, as the powerful Guinness foreman, Sean Rafferty.
In a recent conversation with Digital Spy, Norton spoke highly of Steven Knight’s work on the show. He explained, “Steven Knight is clearly a genius, and he creates wonderfully complex and subtle characters. Just when you think you’ve figured them out, something unexpected happens.”

Of his character, Norton said there was a “deliciousness” to playing the role of Rafferty.
The actor explained that playing Rafferty is a joy because the character genuinely loves being himself. He’s just having a great time, which makes the role incredibly enjoyable for me as well,” he said.
