After the debut of Season 2, DC Studios has released a fresh new trailer for the upcoming episodes of the hit superhero series Peacemaker on HBO Max. The first episode, titled “The Ties That Grind,” is currently streaming, and the second one, “A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird,” premieres today.

What happens in the Peacemaker Season 2 trailer?

In the video, Chris is experiencing an alternate universe where his dreams come true – teaming up with his father and brother as superheroes, and being in a romantic relationship with Emilia Harcourt. Yet, he’ll eventually learn that tinkering with different dimensions has caused a tear in his own reality, prompting Rick Flag Sr. to chase him down. Furthermore, the upcoming episodes look set to deliver thrilling encounters featuring Peacemaker and the 11th Street Gang.

In the creative hands of director James Gunn, who not only pens but also guides the series as its executive producer, “Peacemaker” is brought to life. The second season welcomes back John Cena reprising his role as Chris Smith/Peacemaker, with Freddie Stroma stepping into the character of Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee playing John Economos, Nhut Le as Judomaster, and Robert Patrick portraying August “Auggie” Smith/White Dragon. This time around, they’re joined by fresh faces such as Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, Michael Rooker, and Tim Meadows.

Instead of Season 1, every event in Season 2 aligns completely with the DC Universe’s official storyline, making it entirely canonical. Since its premiere, Season 2 boasts an impressive nearly perfect score of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes.
