Fans have shared their opinions on the theme song for Peacemaker Season 2, noting its similarity to the opening track from the initial season. The show debuted on January 13, 2022, and introduced Wig Wam’s “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” as the first season’s intro tune. For this second season, “Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam serves as the new theme song.
Fans still find Peacemaker Season 1’s intro better than Season 2’s
After the launch of Peacemaker Season 2 on HBO Max on August 21, 2025, fans have been expressing their preference for “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” over “Oh Lord” on social media. Originally released as a single and part of their third studio album, Non Stop Rock’n Roll, in 2010, “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” is a track by the Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam. Foxy Shazam, another band, released “Oh Lord” as a single and on their self-titled studio album, both of which were also out in 2010.
“@dcuworld expressed their preference on a platform, formerly known as Twitter, regarding the introduction of Peacemaker Season 2. In a post, they stated, ‘I must admit, I still favor the intro from Peacemaker Season 1.'”
In simpler terms, @zerowontmiss expressed their opinion on the same platform, stating that despite other opinions, they believe that the introduction for Peacemaker’s first season remains the finest among all episodes in the series.
According to @mrperfighting, “2nd is good but 1 was something special.”
It appears that BongoTett holds a distinct viewpoint from the majority. They expressed their opinion that the new introduction is “truly excellent,” noting, however, that it might not carry the same level of energy as Season 1’s, but rather aligns with the “more subdued, thoughtful” mood suggested by the premiere episode of Season 2.
It seems that @JV1I3N_ was in agreement with @BongoTett’s viewpoint, albeit to an extent. In their words, “Indeed, the intro for Peacemaker S2 is mind-blowing, not superior to the first one, but undeniably outstanding nonetheless.” They added that while the choice of music somewhat confuses them, it’s relatively simple to ignore this aspect.
Peacemaker’s second season will become available each Thursday on HBO Max starting from August 28, 2025. The upcoming episode titled “A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird” is set to premiere on that date.
