During the upcoming Pokémon GO Community Day event, players can expect Pawmi to be featured. This gives trainers an opportunity to catch a Shiny version of Pawmi, and also obtain a Pawmot with the unique move, “Brick Break”.
Pawmi Community Day takes place Sunday, May 11 from 2 p.m until 5 p.m local time.
While Pawmi Community Day may not be the first pick for everyone, it’s certainly an exciting opportunity! With its fresh design and adorable appearance, Pawmi boasts a truly distinctive shiny form. So why not gather your pals and enjoy a fun-filled day playing Pokémon GO together?
Pawmi Pokémon GO Community Day bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Pawmi Community Day in Pokémon GO.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during Pawmi Community Day
- Take a few Snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional special trade (for a maximum of 3)*
- Trades cost 50% less Stardust*
- Limited-time Evolution requirement: you can evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after exploring 1 km with Pawmo as your buddy.
*These bonuses are active until 10pm local time.

At the occurrence of events, Pawmi is expected to show up more often in their natural habitats. Additionally, you might find it easier to catch a Shiny Pawmi during these times.
During the Pawmi Pokemon GO Community Day, if you evolve your Pawmo into Pawmot, it will gain the ability to perform Brick Break – a Fighting-type move. If you already have a Pawmot, the only way for it to learn this move is by using an Elite Technical Machine (TM).

The chances of completing these tasks are just as high as random encounters during Community Day, regardless of when you finish them.
Pawmi Community Day: Pokémon GO Tips and Tricks
During the upcoming Pawmi Pokémon GO Community Day, you’ll have an excellent opportunity to secure a Shiny version of a brand-new Pokémon, provided you haven’t obtained it yet.
During this event, it’s essential to maintain a single goal in mind: keep walking! The more distance you cover, the more Eggs you’ll hatch, increasing your chances of encountering Pawmi. Don’t forget to gather Field Research tasks, as they offer opportunities to meet Special Background Pawmi. You can achieve this by successfully completing a five-star Raid or trading a Pokémon.
For this event, there’s no bonus for earning XP or Stardust; instead, it centers around hatching eggs. However, you can earn some XP by having a Pokémon at Mega Level 3. This Pokémon will increase the candy and XP you get from catching Vanillite. Here are some Pokémon that can be Mega Evolved to yield additional Candy, Candy XL, and XP when catching Vanillite:
