Paul Rudd hints at a potential comeback in future Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, specifically mentioning Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
The directors of “Infinity War” and “Endgame,” Joe and Anthony Russo, have been officially announced to continue their work on the fifth and sixth “Avengers” films, scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027.
Michael Douglas, initially introduced as Ant-Man in the 2015 film titled the same, and last portrayed the character in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which was released in 2023, has now spoken out about speculations regarding his potential return in future blockbusters.
He informed Collider that the Russos have his contact information. They are aware of his location, and that’s as much as he’s willing to disclose. He isn’t sure about the best way to handle such situations.
The actor remained secretive about his intentions to visit London for the upcoming filming of “Doomsday,” barely revealing his travel plans when queried.
“Isn’t everyone traveling to London soon now in this business?” he replied.
Information about the forthcoming films is limited, but it’s confirmed that Robert Downey Jr, who previously played Iron Man, is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the villain role of Doctor Doom.
It remains undecided whether Chris Evans will reappear as Captain America, Johnny Storm, or a different character altogether in future projects.
