Susan Kendall Newman has passed away age 72.

Paul Newman’s daughter passed away on August 2nd due to ongoing health issues, her family announced.

The Emmy-nominated producer was most famous for playing Janis Goldman in the 1978 film *I Wanna Hold Your Hand*, a movie celebrating The Beatles.

Susan portrayed a teenager attempting to get into The Beatles’ debut performance on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964.

She appeared in minor roles in two films: the hockey movie *Slap Shot* (1977), where she played a pharmacist and acted alongside her father, and Robert Altman’s *A Wedding* (1978).

Susan was the daughter of Paul and his first wife Jackie Witte.

Her father, a famous racing driver himself, appeared in many popular movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 83.

People have been sharing heartfelt tributes to Susan online. One coworker expressed their shock, saying they were surprised to see an obituary for Susan Kendall Newman, as they still had her phone number saved.
