Paul Mescal and his girlfriend, Gracie Abrams, were seen together in public for one of the first times at a screening of Paul McCartney’s new documentary, ‘Man On The Run,’ on Wednesday evening.
The actor, 30, is in the midst of filming the upcoming Beatles biopic where he plays the musician.
The couple attended a preview of Paul’s new project at the Ham Yard Hotel in London, showing their encouragement.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that a fascinating new project is coming to Amazon Prime on February 27th! It beautifully documents the incredible life of 83-year-old Paul McCartney, picking up after the iconic breakup of The Beatles. It’s a really intimate look at what he’s been up to and I think fans will absolutely love it.
Paul looked relaxed and informal in a baseball cap and long grey coat as he chatted with singer Gracie, 26, who was wearing a cap and a large black blazer decorated with a pink flower.
The couple started dating in 2024 and generally prefer to keep their romance private.
Paul will portray Paul McCartney in a new movie about The Beatles. He’ll be acting alongside Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison in the four-part series.
He will be recording his own vocals.
Many actors choose to sing their own songs in biographical films, and Taron Egerton followed this tradition when he portrayed Elton John in Rocketman.
Paul recently shared with British GQ that working on the project has been a valuable learning experience and has sparked a newfound passion within him.
The actor revealed he’s started writing his own songs. He explained that playing a famous musician has inspired him to pursue songwriting and experience music in a whole new way, reigniting his lifelong passion for it.
Paul has suggested he might take a break from public life until his movie comes out in 2028.
The actor shared that he’s planning to work less and focus more on his family and personal life, including his relationship with Gracie.
The Irish heartthrob spoke about his shifting priorities as he reflected on turning 30.
I’ve found a good work pace over the last seven years, starting around when I was 23 and continuing as I approach 30. I’m happy with how things have been flowing.
I’m starting to prioritize things that really matter to me, like spending quality time with my family, partner, and friends, and I’m naturally wanting to focus more on those things.
The actor, who doesn’t often talk about his relationship with singer Gracie, went on to say, ‘Until now, I’ve always been focused on my career and haven’t really wanted to do much else…’
‘And now I do have a desire to not spend my time necessarily in a rehearsal room or on set.’
