Paul Gascoigne reveals he missed out on I’m A Celeb after failing psychiatrist test FIVE times and admits to taking cocaine before assessment
As a dedicated follower of reality TV and football, I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for Paul Gascoigne, or Gazza as he is affectionately known. The man has had a tumultuous life filled with highs and lows, on and off the pitch, and his struggles are no secret.
This year, several well-known personalities are gearing up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! However, Paul Gascoigne has shared the reason he won’t be joining them as a campmate this time around.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I confess that my dream of embarking on an adventure Down Under in the Australian jungle was dashed not once, but five times. Unfortunately, my mental health evaluation didn’t yield the desired results, preventing me from participating in the beloved reality show.
After his retirement, Gazza has struggled with alcohol issues and subsequently sought treatment, but has also acknowledged visiting an evaluation while under the influence of cocaine.
Despite being consistently rejected by the ITV series, he still participated in its Italian counterpart, “Isola de Famosi,” back in 2021, a program that is not linked to the UK version.
In a recent interview, Gazza mentioned that while producers have attempted to include him in the show, he hasn’t managed to pass the required assessments or trials thus far.
He told The Sun: ‘You had to see a psychiatrist. If you pass the psychiatrist’s test, you’re in. I failed five f***ing times!
To put it frankly, my initial encounter with her was under the influence of cocaine, which probably made it evident to her.
The second time, I asked her to leave. By the third time, I made it clear that I never wished to see her again, which didn’t sit well with her.
Paul confessed that there are times when he’s happy he wasn’t part of certain experiences, given his fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia) and snakes.
On November 17th, the popular show “I’m A Celebrity” is coming back to our screens, boasting an impressive cast that includes Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins, who are ready to venture into the jungle.
Gaetano’s time on the Italian reality program concluded prematurely due to a regrettable turn of events, as he had to withdraw because of continuous discomfort in his shoulder.
After finishing an assault course alongside his fellow islanders on the sun-kissed islands of Cayos Cochinos, Honduras, the football legend was spotted clutching his arm in discomfort and subsequently departed the location.
Despite sporting a sling on his arm, he was compelled to retire permanently as the injury prohibited him from participating in any of the physical activities.
It’s said that the television figure allegedly earned approximately 7,000 euros (around £5,981) per week during his time on the program.
While spending a month on the Italian program, Paul drew attention for unusual reasons. He set a record as the initial contestant to sunbathe without clothes on the show.
Instead of wearing his arm brace, the retired soccer player chose complete relaxation while basking in the sun on the beach, choosing to go without it since he had previously dislocated his shoulder.
During the broadcast, celebrities Iva Zanicchi, Elettra Lamborghini, and host Ilary Blasi commented on his relaxed demeanor even amidst heightened tension. They also expressed admiration for his physique by saying, “Wow, what a bod!
