Paul Dano & Robert Pattinson Set Reunion Movie At A24 Ahead Of The Batman 2

I was blown away by Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano in The Batman – they were incredible as Batman and The Riddler! Now, before The Batman 2 comes out in 2027, I’m even more excited to hear they’re working together again on a new A24 drama called The Chaperones. Apparently, Pattinson’s own production company, Icki Eneo Arlo, is helping to make it happen, which is really cool!

India Donaldson will direct a new film called The Chaperones, starring Dano, Cooper Hoffman, and David Jonsson, who previously worked together on The Long Walk. The movie follows three friends who take on the job of driving a difficult teenager across the country shortly after Christmas. Variety reports that the screenplay is by newcomer Sebastian Black, and Brad Pitt’s Plan B will produce the film.

Everyone involved is enthusiastic about this project, especially considering A24’s history of producing excellent films in many different genres. This year, the independent film company released critically acclaimed titles like Sorry, Baby and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, both of which have been nominated for the 2025 Gotham Awards. They’ve also released Eddington, Materialists and The Smashing Machine, and their biggest Oscar hopeful, Marty Supreme, is coming soon.

There’s currently no news about when filming will begin on The Chaperones, so it’s unknown whether that movie or The Batman 2 will be released first. Up-and-coming actors Hoffman and Jonsson, known for their roles in Licorice Pizza, Saturday Night, Alien: Romulus, and Industry, both have other commitments. Meanwhile, Dano, fresh off the success of The Wizard of the Kremlin, appears to be concentrating solely on The Chaperones.
