It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of another loss for Paul C. Brunson. Just weeks after the incredibly sad passing of his Married at First Sight colleague, Mel Schilling, he’s now grieving the loss of another close friend. It’s just been a really tough time for him, and for all of us who follow his work and care about him.
Natural Langdon, a close friend of the TV host and podcaster, recently died after a battle with cancer. He was 50 years old.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve encountered many stories, and this one is particularly heartbreaking. A man from the US came to the UK to pursue his PhD, but after finishing his studies and his student visa expiring, he unfortunately developed male breast cancer. The truly devastating part? He was denied access to vital treatment from the NHS simply because his visa was no longer valid. It’s a stark reminder of how bureaucratic hurdles can impact someone’s health and well-being.
Although it’s uncommon, men can get breast cancer. Around 370 to 400 cases are diagnosed in the UK each year. This is possible because men have a small amount of breast tissue, and cancer can develop in that tissue, according to the NHS.
Back home in the States, he struggled with treatments and personally crowdfunded private therapies.
Paul paid tribute to Dr. Natural Langdon, also known as International Nat, saying he lived a remarkable life, always true to himself.
You didn’t just look at the world; you truly saw it, with a deep understanding and a thirst for knowledge. You introduced me to meditation and consistently encouraged me to appreciate everything I have.
β’An incredible filmmaker, an extraordinary mind, and above all, a true friend.
β’You’ll be deeply missed, my brother.’
Natural was a highly acclaimed producer, and his film, Bullets Over Brownsville, won numerous awards.
Before Natural died, he talked about his life and favorite memories, including graduating from college.
On his GoFundMe page, Natural Langdon explained that he’s going through a very difficult time and is asking for help.
‘On June 25, 2023, I was diagnosed with breast cancer after experiencing intense chest pain.
Recent tests showed I have a gene mutation that raises my risk of developing breast cancer. I need a combination of medical treatments and supportive care, but my insurance won’t cover all of the costs. I’m hoping to raise $30,000 to help pay for my care and related expenses.
Because of my health, I can’t work consistently, and this has caused me serious financial difficulties. I truly appreciate your help and support right now.
Even though things have been difficult, I’m committed to getting better, feeling strong again, and finding peace within myself.
I’m using natural therapies alongside my regular medical care. This isn’t just about battling cancer; it’s about getting better overall and getting my life back on track.
Your kindness and prayers mean the world to us. If you’ve ever seen someone struggle with cancer, or if you’ve faced it yourself, you know how deeply it can affect a person.
My recovery from breast cancer shows just how strong and determined people can be.
Your contribution to this campaign will help me get the comprehensive treatments and therapies I need to fight cancer with a stronger body and mind, and to make the process easier. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring me closer to recovery.
This news follows the recent and heartbreaking death of Paul’s Married At First Sight colleague, Mel, who passed away at 54 years old. She had recently shared that her cancer had spread to her brain.
In 2023, the Australian dating expert and psychologist received a diagnosis of colon cancer. She was undergoing treatment in London with her family when this occurred.
She shared the good news that doctors had removed a lemon-sized tumor and confirmed she was cancer-free.
She shared in an Instagram post that her cancer had spread to her lungs in February 2024. Later, over the Christmas holiday in 2025, doctors discovered it had also spread to her brain.
Mel’s husband, Gareth Brisbane, sadly confirmed her passing. He shared a touching message about the love she had for him and their 10-year-old daughter, Madison.
He wrote: ‘Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love.
Even though I believed cancer had robbed her of her voice, she pulled me near as she was dying and shared a final message for Maddie and me β a message that I will cherish forever.
It took every ounce of her energy, and that simple act captured exactly who Melsie was. Even at that moment, she was still thinking of Maddie and me.
‘This is a woman who became a new mum and a TV star at 42 β and nailed both.’
Despite enduring two years of grueling chemotherapy that left her incredibly weak, this woman remained remarkably positive and resilient. She consistently demonstrated courage, kindness, and understanding, and amazingly, never missed a day of work.
Many of you knew her as Mel Schilling, the familiar face from Married at First Sight and a prominent figure in reality television. But to her daughters, Maddie and me, she was simply ‘Melsie’ β a wonderful mother, someone we looked up to, and a cherished friend.
Our family and her close friends want to thank everyone around the world for their incredible support.
