Originally appearing on Married at First Sight as a wellness consultant, groom Paul Antoine is now ditching the counseling setting for a more active role on the fitness floor, marking a daring professional shift.

After appearing on a reality dating show on Channel Nine, the 30-year-old, who was born in France, has chosen to abandon his job focusing on mental health and instead, pursue creating a fitness empire online.

Earlier this year, Paul declared on Instagram that he’s formally ended a five-year phase of his career in the mining sector.

The journey has been truly remarkable, packed with learning experiences, hurdles, and the honor to significantly improve people’s health and welfare in a challenging setting.

The shift in profession happens shortly after an intense experience on Married at First Sight, during which Paul stirred up some drama with his co-star Carina Mirabile. However, despite their past disagreements, they have managed to maintain a friendly relationship outside of the show.

It appears that sources close to the situation have hinted to Yahoo Lifestyle that Paul is planning to start an online coaching enterprise and tailor fitness regimens specifically for his clients in his upcoming ventures.

People swiftly picked up on the change as Paul hinted at upcoming major events by posting ‘Big announcements on the horizon!’ on his professional social media account, in a recently shared video clip.

Following an unexpected change of heart, Paul made a striking turnaround during the intense Married at First Sight reunion on Sunday evening.

After the final vows, the now-single groom found himself devastated and weeping, as his bride, Carina Mirable, decided not to go through with the marriage.

However, those four weeks without Carina didn’t cause Paul’s affection for her to grow any stronger.

Meanwhile, it seemed that Paul had revised the account of the experiment’s details, portraying Carina as the antagonist in their partnership.

In simpler terms, Paul expressed to the producers before making his re-entry, “I thought she had many hidden insecurities, and showed signs of extreme jealousy, which turned out to be true during the Final Vows.

He not only expressed that reconciliation was impossible, but also reinforced his harsh portrayal of Carina in his Openness Letter by going further with his criticism.

‘There’s no hope whatsoever with me and Carina – she is a big snob,’ Paul shockingly declared.

‘I was giving her the benefit of the doubt at some point but she certainly is 100 per cent.’

As Carina traveled towards the gathering, it was clear that she, too, shared the same sentiment; she confessed that she didn’t relish the idea of reconnecting with Paul.

She seems to have a sense of discomfort about Paul, almost as if it’s in her instincts. To be honest, she doesn’t really look forward to meeting him.

I’m feeling quite uneasy, and truthfully, I can’t bring myself to meet Paul’s gaze. Our relationship has shifted dramatically, now it feels more like we’re total strangers instead of husband and wife.

During the pre-dinner gathering, the unease between them was noticeable, as Paul confided in Eliot Donovan that he wasn’t convinced Carina was suitable for him.

‘I don’t have any sort of romantic feelings for Carina,’ Paul added in a chat with producers.

‘Carina is someone who worries way too much about what other people are thinking of her. 

‘The fact that she’s also very judgemental, and I don’t want to be with someone like that.’

The tension did not subside when Paul and Carina took their places at the dinner table, either.

Carina confessed that the dynamic between her and Paul feels strange. They seem to be in separate mental places, leaving her uncertain about how to behave around him.
