Patsy Palmer’s Shocking Confession: Stoned on the School Run!
Patsy Palmer confessed that she used to get high while driving her kids to school, as she shared her past struggles with alcohol and substance abuse.
The actress from EastEnders, aged 52, living in the Celebrity Big Brother residence, confessed that she had been so heavily reliant on cannabis that she would occasionally smoke it even during school pick-ups.
Patsy, who began consuming alcohol at the tender age of eight, currently leads a healthier life and enjoys moderate drinking only, residing in California with her loved ones.
In her 2007 memoir titled All Of Me, Life, Love And Addiction, the mother of four described, ‘I nervously glanced at the cigarette rolling papers lying nearby.’
Patsy confessed that her spirits sank to their absolute lowest when she decided to miss a crucial gathering in favor of staying home, watching This Morning television program, smoking marijuana, and indulging in donuts instead.
Yesterday, she stowed her potent cannabis, often called super-strong marijuana or skunk weed, atop a cabinet, with the hope that by waking up today, she would have no memory of its location.
Patsy admitted that she was feeling quite uneasy and on-guard, and tried to divert her thoughts by focusing on household chores.
She wrote: ‘I pulled the vacuum cleaner from the cabinet. Honestly, I dislike chores… it was just the most routine idea that came to mind.’
About a minute passed, and I found myself lounging on the sofa, enjoying This Morning while puffing on a rather substantial cigarette. I had vowed not to smoke indoors due to the children.
To avoid leaving any hints behind, I decided to be particularly cautious since my daughter has respiratory issues.
By noon, I found myself feeling quite groggy. However, I managed to consume some food and felt better by 3:30 pm, which was perfect since that’s when I had to start getting ready for the school run.
‘Three hours later I had finished my third joint and second jam doughnut.
Standing in the center of the room, I pondered, “Has this become the course of my existence?” I felt a deep sense of discomfort, wretchedness, and uncleanliness.
A voice exclaimed, “As a mature adult and a conscientious parent, it’s time for you to take charge. What on earth are you up to? You seem to have lost your sense.
Patsy acknowledged that her socializing escalated excessively, leading her to overindulge in substances. In such instances, she would freshen up by taking a shower and changing clothes before reporting to work at EastEnders.
Back in 2010, I openly shared that during filming, I often overindulged in alcohol and used substances like cocaine and ecstasy.
Frequently, I would stay up partying until the early hours, then head straight to work in the morning, catching sleep where I could on set. I’m not sure how I managed to keep going.
‘You can get dressed up and look great but inside you might be dying. I felt like that.
As someone deeply committed to my professional journey, I’ve observed that it’s all too easy to present a polished exterior in this field. Yet, if the inner peace is absent, what’s the real purpose of the shine on the surface?
Prior to joining Celebrity Big Brother, Patsy stated that she occasionally enjoys a glass of wine, and it no longer causes her any discomfort or trouble.
Patsy is the mother of Fenton (age 24), Emilia (23), and Bertie (16). She has these children with her ex-taxi driver husband Richard and Charley Palmer Rothwell, who lives in the UK; he is Patsy’s son from her relationship with Alfie Rothwell.
