Patsy Palmer’s Awkward Silence Sparks Stir After Celebrity Big Brother Exit Interview

On Wednesday evening, Patsy Palmer delivered another uneasy interview on Late and Live following her departure from Celebrity Big Brother.

On ITV2’s program, the actress from EastEnders, aged 52, who was the sixth celebrity to leave the house on Tuesday, joined forces with other evicted celebrities, Ella Rae Wise and Angellica Bell.

Meanwhile, the soap actor made everyone in the studio quiet with a toe-curling performance. As Charley Marlowe stepped up, he was asked to pose a question to Patsy.

She suggested: ‘It seemed like you really felt the absence of your family in there. At any moment, did a thought cross your mind about sneaking over that fence?’

Patsy replied: ‘Erm, no I didn’t want to walk.’

The guest then burst out laughing, but Patsy remained stony-faced.

She went on to say, “Everyone is there to perform a task, and I aimed to make it beneficial for them. At first, being in that environment was extremely challenging for me.

Prior to my entry, we had already experienced numerous personal challenges. Once some specific energies departed from our home, everyone seemed more at ease, and collectively, we managed to tackle those difficulties together.

It typically takes me some time to feel completely comfortable around new people, but once I get to know them better, I start to enjoy their company. After that point, I often find myself not wanting to leave.

Host Will said: ‘You ended on a high.’

He then threw it to Oti Mabuse as the audience cheers and the studio atmosphere lifted.

People hurriedly flocked to X (previously recognized as Twitter), eager to query why Patsy appears so somber and brings others down.

They wrote: ‘Patsy Palmer can put anyone to sleep with her monotonous dull tones;

‘Patsy’s so serious and such a downer in these interviews. Maybe it’s just me but…;

‘Patsy Palmer always looks like she’s gonna throw punches.’

Immediately following Patsy’s silence during the live eviction interview about Mickey Rourke on Wednesday, it occurred.

Though everything seemed smooth at first, an uncomfortable situation unfolded when Will, AJ, and others questioned her about Mickey, a 72-year-old cast member who had been critical of her culinary skills on the program.

Earlier, Mickey spoke to Patsy about her “unappetizing” broccoli before she exited the room, and later, while seated in the Diary Room, she started crying heavily.

The soap actor didn’t appreciate being reminded of the incident, choosing instead to remain silent about the matter. Additionally, Mickey, who had been dismissed from the program due to unsuitable conduct, showed no interest in discussing the interaction.

Inquiring about the issue at hand, Will asked, “It appears there were some challenging situations involving complaints over broccoli among others. I noticed you managed to overcome them effortlessly?

Patsy looked furious and simply shook her head, refusing to say more.

Will said: ‘You don’t want to talk about the broccoli?’

In an attempt to encourage her to share her feelings, AJ asked: ‘Was it troubling for you when Mickey criticized the food right in front of you?’

Still looking upset and angry, Patsy added: ‘Not really that…’

Both presenters then agreed it would be best to move on from the topic of Mickey.

While participating in the show, Micky made derogatory comments about his co-star JoJo Siwa that were disrespectful towards the LGBTQ+ community. As a result, he was subsequently asked to leave the house.

He inquired of the 21-year-old YouTuber and singer about her romantic preferences, specifically asking if she prefers women or men. When she clarified that she is attracted to women and is in a relationship with someone who identifies as non-binary, he replied by stating that if he stayed longer than four days, her sexual orientation would no longer be gay.

Mickey additionally made an inappropriate remark and behaved aggressively towards Chris Hughes and Ella Rae Wise, implying a sexual connotation, during a task where he was accused of flirting with Chris.

Mickey’s string of misconduct led to his dismissal from the program, having been earlier cautioned about the appropriate conduct he should maintain.

Following the seemingly uncomfortable incident involving Patsy on the midweek broadcast, viewers openly speculated that there might have been additional, unshown events between her and Mickey.

Viewers expressed their opinions about X as follows: ‘They wanted more information about Mickey and Patsy’s history, as Patsy clearly showed displeasure just hearing his name’; ‘That moment was incredibly uncomfortable. It seemed clear that Patsy was not pleased with the broccoli question’.

“I haven’t come across any updates regarding Patsy’s interview, but her discomfort while discussing his behavior seemed quite obvious to me. I strongly believe there’s more to what happened between Patsy and Mickey that wasn’t shown on screen.

1. Patsy clearly had no interest in discussing Mickey, and honestly, it was justified!

2. Watching the interaction between Patsy and Will regarding the broccoli felt like a rollercoaster ride – one moment I found her amusing and iconic, the next I could imagine her ready to throw a punch! As for Will, it seemed like he could feel his heart racing through the screen when he brought up the topic.

Patsy seems extremely unwilling to talk about broccoli with Mickey (Will and AJ). It’s clearly not just the vegetable causing a stir. #CBB #CCBBUK

It seems to me that she, along with all the women present, found his disrespectful sexism and erratic behavior extremely off-putting. They are skilled at ignoring him further and denying him additional attention. Living with such a boorish individual must have been quite uncomfortable. This situation had nothing to do with broccoli.

Based on Patsy’s response to the Mickey questions and Ella’s comments during face-to-face nominations, could there be something else happening that we aren’t aware of? Or, in other words, what seemed a bit unusual about Patsy’s behavior?

1. I’d strongly advise against commenting on Patsy’s broccoli culinary talents – her death-defying glare alone is enough to deter anyone from bringing it up.

2. Patsy stormed off the stage, tears streaming down her face. I couldn’t help but wonder if she was alright; she appeared to be in a deep state of distress, bordering on depression.

In another part of the conversation, host Will inquired about Patsy’s thoughts on certain housemates asserting that her presence lowered the atmosphere.

Patsy stated, “If someone claimed I was dampening their spirits [JoJo], it would require me to have magical abilities, for I’ve never met someone who exudes as much energy as they do.

‘Beautiful energy, but energy. So I was amazed that I had that much power.’

What he said was: It’s intriguing to discuss energy with you, as this is our first interaction. Yet, your demeanor exudes a tranquil energy, something I haven’t noticed in others residing here.

Patsy remarked: “Indeed, that’s what makes it exceptional. It’s because we have such a diverse group – people of various ages, cultures, faiths, and perspectives. In other words, an amazing blend of differences.

This underscores the importance of unity in diversity, emphasizing that people from different backgrounds can coexist harmoniously.
