Patsy Kensit has claimed that she had a ‘secret affair’ with Terence Stamp when she was 23.
The 57-year-old actress revealed the romance started in the early 1990s while they were filming the crime thriller Prince of Shadows in Madrid.
Terence, the acclaimed actor famous for playing a role in the original Superman movies, died last year in Los Angeles at the age of 87. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his work.
According to Patsy, they were first introduced at a Chelsea dinner party through a mutual friend.
Soon after, she landed the role of Rebeca in a Spanish movie and recommended Terence for the main role of Darman, reuniting them on set.
She described their relationship to The Sun as a classic, doomed romance, adding that he was a true gentleman.
‘Even though there was an age gap, we had a strong bond. He was an amazing and generous lover.’
After filming wrapped up, they kept seeing each other in London, and Patsy frequently visited him at his apartment on Piccadilly.
Looking back, she described the time fondly and that It was a ‘lost few months in my life’.
Their relationship ended when Patsy moved to film Timebomb in 1991. She later said she decided to break up with him, admitting she was ‘young and foolish’ at the time.
Terence, best known for his role as the villain General Zod in the ‘Superman’ and ‘Superman II’ films, died in August 2025.
His family shared that he created a remarkable collection of work as both an actor and writer, and it will continue to inspire audiences for many years.
‘We ask for privacy at this sad time.’
This follows Patsy posting an adorable old photo of her son, Lennon, along with a touching message about him.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m completely obsessed with Gene! It’s just… seeing a throwback photo of him as a little boy on Instagram, posted by his amazing mum (who I adore, by the way, she’s brilliant in EastEnders!), totally made my day. He’s Liam Gallagher’s son, you know, and even as a kid, he was just the cutest! I’ve been following his mum’s Instagram and she shared this picture on Friday, and I just had to tell everyone! He’s 26 now, can you believe it? Time flies!
The photo appeared to be taken on Lennon’s birthday as it showed Patsy presenting him with a cake.
Patsy shared a heartfelt message about her son, expressing her immense love and pride for him and his brother, James.
I feel so lucky to have you in my life and to share time with you. I especially love watching ‘The Chase’ together – you’re really good at it, Lennon!
Sending love, thankfulness, happiness, and peaceful thoughts to everyone. I’m really grateful! P.S. This isn’t a birthday post for John Lennon – his birthday is in September. It’s just a photo of a cake we made together, a picture I really cherish. ❤️
Patsy is also mother to older son James, 32, from her marriage to Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr.
