Patsy Kensit, 57, displays her age-defying figure in a black bikini and declares she ‘needs some sun’ after spending New Year in bed stricken with flu

I was scrolling through social media this morning and honestly, Patsy Kensit looked like she’d escaped the British weather! Her latest posts definitely made it seem like she was somewhere much warmer and sunnier – a welcome sight considering how cold it is here!

Ugh, it’s been absolutely brutal here! Seriously, since the new year started, we’ve been completely buried in snow, and the ice is just terrifying – I nearly slipped three times today! And the worst part? They’re saying it’s going to get even worse this week. I’m glued to the weather reports, honestly, just waiting for the next update. It’s a disaster, but a strangely beautiful one, if you’re into that sort of thing… which I totally am!

After recovering from a bad flu, 57-year-old Patsy has decided to leave England and head to a warmer, sunnier location. She’s really in need of some Vitamin D!

The actress shared a photo on Instagram of herself relaxing in a black bikini while on vacation abroad.

Captioning the shot, she wrote: ‘I need some sun!!’

The actress seemed to be feeling much better after being sick in bed for most of the New Year holiday.

Patsy announced she was recovering from her illness and shared a picture of her skin after a facial, explaining that while she felt better, her skin was very dry.

Oh my gosh, last week was just…awful. Patsy, my absolute favorite actress, got the flu! Can you believe it? She had to spend New Year’s Eve at home instead of, you know, dazzling everyone on a stage or something. It was heartbreaking, honestly. I was so worried about her, and it just wasn’t the same without seeing her shine!

On Thursday evening, she posted a picture of herself in bed, saying she was still recovering from the flu but looking forward to the new year. She wished everyone a happy new year and sent her love.

The actress is on vacation without her two sons: 33-year-old James, from her marriage to Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, and 25-year-old Lennon, from her marriage to Liam Gallagher of Oasis.

In a September interview on the HELLO! Second Act podcast, Patsy shared that she used to be overly reliant on her sons and found it difficult when they moved out.

She spoke lovingly about her sons, calling them incredible. She also shared that while motherhood is wonderful, it’s also bittersweet watching them grow up and eventually leave home, which she described as heartbreaking.

‘I was so codependent on them to the point it wasn’t fair on them. I could sense that in them.

I remember when my kids were around 25 and 33 – it feels like yesterday I was their age and just starting a family! Honestly, I think I put a lot of expectations on them back then, maybe too much. So, seeing them move out and start their own lives was really hard for me, a bittersweet moment for sure.

My oldest son is extremely protective of his privacy. That’s why I always shielded my children from events like movie premieres – I didn’t want them to be photographed and exposed to that kind of attention.

The actress shared that she felt a deep connection with her two sons, and to minimize disruption to their lives, she would travel from London to Yorkshire to film her role as Sadie King on the ITV soap Emmerdale.

She remembered that while driving to the set of Emmerdale, ITV executives had expressed concern about the risk she was taking with her commute.

As a mom, navigating work and family is always a balancing act, right? There was a time I felt stretched so thin, I had to make some tough choices. I remember needing to prioritize being there for my kids, and honestly, I used that as my ‘out’ – a way to gracefully excuse myself from situations, like saying ‘I need to get back to the kids’ when I really needed to regroup or handle things on my own. It wasn’t always easy, but it was what I felt I needed to do.

I used to bring James with me on all my outings, but eventually I had to stop because it was interfering with his schooling.
