Patrick Dempsey’s latest action-packed series debuted on Sunday, January 25th, with the first episode airing right after the NFC Championship Game on Fox.
Patrick Dempsey, known for his work on Grey’s Anatomy and the new series Dexter: Original Sin, is now playing a challenging role as an older hitman – considered by many to be his most ambitious yet.
Patrick Dempsey’s New Thriller Just Premiered – What It’s About
The new crime thriller series, Memory of a Killer, starring Dempsey, has just launched. Based on the 2003 Belgian film The Memory of a Killer, the 10-episode show follows Angelo Doyle, a seasoned hitman played by Dempsey, who begins to develop early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Angelo has always successfully kept his dangerous job separate from his warm and loving family. However, as his condition worsens, it’s becoming harder to maintain that balance. When his two worlds begin to overlap, Angelo unintentionally puts his family at risk and will do anything to protect them.
Patrick Dempsey stars in Memory of a Killer, alongside a talented cast including Michael Imperioli (known from The Sopranos), Odeya Rush (Lady Bird), Richard Harmon (The 100), and Gina Torres (Suits). The series premiered on Fox on Sunday, January 25th, with a second episode released the next day. New episodes will air on Fox every Monday and will be available to stream on Hulu each Tuesday.
Memory Of A Killer Is A Must-Watch For All Thriller Fans
If you enjoy thrilling assassin stories like The Day of the Jackal, you won’t want to miss Memory of a Killer. Critics are generally impressed, with Collider calling it a “hitman masterclass” and “unforgettable.” A key reason the series works so well is the performance of the lead actor, who brilliantly portrays the contrasting sides of a complex character.
What really makes Memory of a Killer work for me is the dynamic between Angelo and his handler, Dutch, played brilliantly by Imperioli. They’ve got history, but Angelo’s always kept his personal life completely separate, and we start to see those walls come down as the story progresses. It’s fascinating to watch this unfold while he’s simultaneously navigating the dangerous world of New York’s gangs and taking out some seriously bad guys.
If you enjoy shows like ‘Dempsey’ or thrilling stories about hitmen, you should definitely check out this new series, which is airing on Fox and also available to stream on Hulu this week.
If you’re like me and always on the hunt for something new to watch, you should definitely check out Ebaster’s latest binge guides. They’ve got recommendations for both Netflix and Prime Video, which is super helpful when you’re stuck scrolling and can’t decide what to put on!
