To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Parmigiani Fleurier has introduced the Carillon Tourbillon, a stunning and rare watch limited to just five pieces. This exceptional timepiece reflects the brand’s commitment to preserving horological history and craftsmanship. It’s inspired by a Perrin Frères pocket watch from the early 1800s, which Parmigiani Fleurier restored in 2000, but instead of simply recreating the original, they’ve reimagined its unique sound and design for a modern wristwatch.

This watch features a 41.6mm white gold case and a unique dial with a hand-hammered ‘Morning Blue’ finish – a special design element celebrating Parmigiani Fleurier’s 30th anniversary, meaning each dial is slightly different. To keep the face clean and easy to read, the tourbillon and power-reserve indicator are on the back. The front showcases the watch’s chimes – visible hammers and four curved gongs that wrap around the movement, creating both a visual and acoustic experience.

The PF950 movement, a manually-wound caliber, features 456 intricate parts. It utilizes two mainspring barrels: one provides a 10-day power reserve for the timekeeping, and the other powers the chiming functions. A built-in flywheel guarantees a smooth and consistent rhythm, resulting in a clear and flowing chime for each hour, quarter-hour, and minute. You can find more details on the Parmigiani Fleurier website.
