Paris Hilton has responded to claims that Ghislaine Maxwell attempted to bring her into Jeffrey Epstein’s circle, reportedly believing Hilton would have been a good match for him.
Paris Hilton was reportedly only 19 years old when Jeffrey Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, noticed her at a party and allegedly told others she believed Epstein was interested in the teenager.
Ghislaine Maxwell had a long-term relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, during the 1990s. She reportedly attended parties seeking young women who would be interested in dating him.
Maxwell was found guilty and imprisoned for helping Epstein recruit victims and participating in his sex trafficking crimes.
Despite what Maxwell supposedly wanted for Hilton, the mother of two claims she has no memory of ever meeting him.
In a recent interview with the Sunday Times magazine, Paris stated she has no recollection of ever meeting the person in question.
Hilton realized she likely became a focus of media attention simply because of her well-known name, joking that she’s ‘an easy name to get clicks with.’
In 2020, a former friend of the British socialite alleged details about Maxwell’s intentions regarding Hilton.
According to Christopher Mason, Maxwell was stunned when she spotted a young member of the Hilton family at a party, exclaiming ‘oh my god’.
Maxwell said she would be ‘perfect for Jeffrey’ and told a friend: ‘Can you introduce us?’
Rowan Mason, a British journalist living in New York and a long-time acquaintance of Maxwell’s—having known him since the 1980s—didn’t say when the meeting took place.
Hilton’s career really took off around the year 2000 when she joined Donald Trump’s modeling agency, T Management, and started becoming a well-known celebrity.
She was nineteen and just starting to become famous when this happened. Mason shared the story as part of the documentary series, Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.
The documentary shows a photo taken at the Anand Jon Fashion Show in New York City on September 18, 2000.
In the photo, Donald Trump is on the left side, Paris Hilton is in the center, and Ghislaine Maxwell, wearing sunglasses and smiling, is to Hilton’s left.
She first encountered Epstein in the early 1990s, shortly after moving to New York following the death of her father, Robert Maxwell, a prominent newspaper publisher who had fallen from grace.
In the documentary, Mason explained that people were confused by the relationship between Maxwell and Epstein, who were a couple for a while in the 1990s.
Mason reported hearing rumors that Ghislaine Maxwell was traveling around New York City looking for young women to bring to Jeffrey Epstein. He admitted that, at the time, it just seemed somewhat improper.
