Paranormal Activity will haunt theatregoers for a 12-week run in London’s West End.
The stage version of the Blumhouse series, which consists of seven films and a video game, is set to transfer from Leeds Playhouse in 2024 to London following its initial run there.
Starting from the 5th of December this year, “Paranormal Activity” will be staged at The Ambassadors Theatre, all the way until the 28th of February, 2026. Tickets for this event will be available for purchase starting tomorrow.

Under the guidance of director Felix Barrett and penned by playwright Levi Holloway, this production offers a fresh narrative exclusive to the theater, featuring entirely original characters not found in the movies.
The story follows James and Lou, who move from Chicago to London to escape their past.
When they first arrive in the UK, the story hints at a chilling revelation: “Places may not be haunted, but it’s the people who are.
Ahead of its London run, the play transfers across the pond for a North American tour this autumn.
Shows are set to be staged at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, the Center Theatre Group’s venues including the Ahmanson Theatre in LA, the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C., and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. The tour will conclude back in the UK by December.
Barrett expressed his excitement as Paranormal is set to scare and intrigue viewers in London towards the end of this year!
He mentioned that ever since he saw the movie’s promotional campaign two decades ago, which left cinema-goers screaming and jumping out of their seats in fear, he has been curious about finding a way to replicate that intense response in a theater environment.
As a passionate cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but wonder: How do you breathe life into one of the scariest films ever made? How do you shatter the cozy comfort that a lavish West End theater provides? It’s been an exhilarating journey, and we eagerly anticipate the reaction from London audiences!
Holloway added: “Working alongside Felix Barrett to bring a real-life nightmare to life was more like fulfilling a dream than anything else.
Enjoying a common bond of fear, we’ve secretly collaborated to produce something unattainable, blending the comfortable with the unsettling, emotions with terror.
London spectators possess an acute sense for authenticity on stage and exhibit minimal tolerance for anything other than that. Here, they will encounter nothing but this genuine portrayal, along with the mayhem we’ve stirred up to keep them awake at night.
In the meantime, producer Simon Friend cautions that the play is both daring and frightening, and may prompt some viewers to keep their lights on at night.
Working with Felix, Levi, an exceptional creative crew, and Paramount has been an honor as we collectively breathe life into this fresh narrative for the stage, friends noted. The production is daring, spine-tingling, and it may prompt you to spend the night with the lights on after witnessing it.
In 2007, the initial “Paranormal Activity” film debuted as an independently produced low-budget movie. It eventually caught the attention of Paramount Pictures, who made some changes to the ending.
Initially produced for just $215,000, the initial movie ultimately earned an impressive $194 million globally, with this substantial profit coming from both the filming process and subsequent editing under Paramount’s guidance.
The supernatural-themed play “Paranormal Activity” begins its run at the Ambassadors Theatre starting from 5th December and continues until 28th February. Ticket sales will commence on 10th July.
