Paradise Season 2 Trailer Released

The popular thriller series Paradise, created by Dan Fogelman, is coming back for a second season after a surprising first season. Starring Sterling K. Brown as Special Agent Xavier Collins, the show’s first season explored a complex conspiracy surrounding the death of President Cal Bradford (James Marsden). It was revealed that the President was actually leading the country from a secret underground bunker following a nuclear disaster.

Wow, things really exploded in Paradise – that’s the name of the town inside the bunker, by the way – once we started figuring out Julianne Nicholson’s character was the real bad guy. It all led to Xavier finally breaking free, desperate to find his wife. After three years of thinking she’d died on The Day, he took off in a plane, determined to find her. The first season ended on such a hopeful, but tense, note!

Disney has just released a first look at season 2 of Paradise, and it promises to take the story beyond the safety of the bunker. The trailer opens with Xavier crashing his plane, and struggling to free himself after the impact. Soon after, the other characters witness a dark cloud approaching, and a narrator suggests that even more mysteries are about to be revealed.

Jordan Williams from ScreenRant saw some exclusive footage from season 2 at CCXP. Here’s what the footage showed:

Annie works as a tour guide at Graceland when news breaks about a major disaster. Tourists begin watching live coverage on their phones. Annie sends her coworker, Gayle, to gather non-perishable food, candles, and other supplies, and instructs her to lead all the tourists to the visitor’s center. Annie herself collects kitchen items from around Graceland. In a desperate move, she breaks a glass display case with a pistol and pockets the bullets. Together, Annie and Gayle stash the collected supplies in Graceland’s basement. While moving things around, a bomb explodes nearby. Displays throughout Graceland start falling, and Annie rushes to free the horses from the stable. She grabs bedding from Elvis’s bedroom and, looking through a telescope, witnesses floodwaters rushing toward Graceland under a huge, dark cloud. As Annie and Gayle try to reach the basement, Gayle falls down the stairs, and the scene ends with Annie calling out Gayle’s name.

The new trailer suggests intense conflict will erupt within the bunker after secrets about Sinatra are revealed, and it looks like many characters have hidden motives. We’ll see more of the late Cal Bradford through flashbacks, with James Marsden reprising his role, and finally get a glimpse of the world outside. The show will premiere on Monday, February 23rd.

Season two of Paradise will center around Xavier’s search for Teri and the growing stress within the bunker. As new enemies emerge and characters forge new alliances, everyone will face unpredictable and dangerous challenges – and no one is guaranteed to survive.

Meanwhile, Xavier will venture out into the world to see how things have changed since the disaster. He’ll uncover secrets about what happened and learn about the lives of those now living on the surface, which could have major implications for the people still living underground.

The trailer for season 2 of Paradise suggests the show will continue its thrilling story. Picking up after a dramatic season finale, the new season promises even more suspense, complex relationships, and mysteries as the show’s world grows.

The first three episodes of Paradise will debut on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on Monday, February 23th, with new episodes added each week.
