A new report shows that Alison Hammond and Scott Mills earned the most money from pantomime performances last year.
Like Vernon Kay and Catherine Tate before them, these performers are trading their usual work for a Christmas appearance on stage.
Radio 2 presenter Scott, age 51, recently played the role of Mayor Mills in a production of Jack And The Beanstalk in High Wycombe, earning a reported £190,000 for his performance.
Even though Alison, 50, didn’t participate in December’s pantomime performances, she remains more popular than him.
She decided to continue appearing on the ITV show this year, but she typically performs at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
Alison earned £195,000 for playing the Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan during the 2024 and 2025 pantomime seasons – a higher amount than any other performer received this year.

A recent report in The Sun reveals how much various TV personalities earn. Vernon Kay reportedly makes £190,000, while Christopher Biggins earns £180,000. Bradley Walsh, Catherine Tate, and Brian Connelly all receive £120,000.
Sydnie Christmas earned £80,000, while Nigel Havers made £60,000 and Katie Price received £50,000 for performing in a pantomime.
According to a source, many of the well-known performers in the Palladium’s pantomime have been under contract for years – in some cases, up to ten years.
‘They are now all running out so bosses are ready to shake things up.’
Scott recently shared that he needs to limit sugary foods because he’s getting back into shape for his upcoming pantomime performance.
The DJ explained he needed to stay in shape because he hadn’t been able to fit into his costume before.
Scott explained that pantomime productions require months of planning, and actors often have their costumes fitted well before the show begins. There’s usually no one available during the Christmas season to adjust the costumes if an actor gains weight from enjoying holiday treats!
He’s playing Mayor Mills in the Swan theatre production, with La Voix and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Matt Edwards as Jack.

Scott explained that the costumes are first tried on in May, then again during rehearsal. He admitted that when he first wore them, he thought they were a bit too snug.
It seems like no one is available to adjust the fit of the garment. They can’t make it larger because there’s no tailor or someone skilled present.
He explained to The Sun that there’s only one costume, so everyone needs to be careful with it.
Scott has starred in the role since making his panto debut in 2023.
