Pamela Anderson Reveals Real Reaction to Oscars Snub

Brandon Lee, Pamela Anderson‘s eldest son, revealed her genuine feelings about her recent Oscars exclusion.

57-year-old actress, previously known for Baywatch, has experienced a change in her professional life, earning praise from critics for her leading role in the 2024 film titled The Last Showgirl.

I was honored to receive my first Golden Globe nomination upon the launch of the film directed by Gia Coppola, and generated considerable attention for potential Oscar recognition.

Nevertheless, the movie didn’t make it as a nominee for the 2025 Academy Awards, as announced in the past month.

28-year-old Brandon shared that the slight she gave didn’t dampen Pamela’s ambition but instead fueled her desire but in a more colloquial sense, it left her craving for another major Hollywood opportunity.

Brandon started off by saying, ‘Victory lies within the effort,’ echoing the wise words of his mother. She has already captured the admiration of her fans and her peers.

He commented on the film’s unforeseen popularity by saying, ‘We hadn’t anticipated anything like this when we started out.’

It gets quite hectic when you’re abruptly pulled into such discussions, and it turns out that you’re now part of an award-winning campaign, and the public seems to be really connecting with our message.

After all the excitement, the multitalented individual confided to the press: ‘Everyone can easily get swept away by the Oscars – it would have been a fantastic accolade. However, Pamela is genuinely content with the success our movie has achieved.’

And he noted, ‘If anything, it makes you hungry for the next opportunity.’

In the category of Best Actress in a Leading Role, Anderson wasn’t awarded, but instead, recognition was given to Cynthia Erivo for her work on Wicked, Karla Sofia Gascón for Emilia Perez, Mikey Madison for Anora, Demi Moore for The Substance, and Fernanda Torres for I’m Still Here.

Pamela takes things in stride regarding the slight, saying to Elle magazine, “Wow, I never saw that coming. Just doing the job itself is its own reward.

She went on to say, “I enjoy doing that, and sometimes during the chaotic award season, we may forget about that. However, it’s gratifying to be acknowledged, and it’s an added benefit.

From a positive perspective, she remarked, “I never envisioned winning an Oscar in the first place. However, I am thrilled about the SAG nomination, as it comes from fellow professionals. That’s truly exciting! This journey of promoting the movie has been quite a long one.

In addition to Brandon, Pam shares 27-year-old son Dylan with rockstar ex-husband Tommy Lee.
