Pamela Anderson delivers ultimate insult to singer Lorde over ‘creepy’ fascination with her sex tape

In a Rolling Stone interview, Lorde faced strong criticism when she admitted to watching Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s infamous leaked sex tape. Later, this topic surfaced again as she made references to the controversial video in one of her latest songs.

The popular singer, aged 28, shared with Rolling Stone that following a psychedelic therapy experience, she revisited the well-known video.

Lorde acknowledged, “It was incredibly captivating, almost to the point of being questionable since I couldn’t look away, but I witnessed a level of love between these two individuals that was truly heartwarming, pure, and beautiful.

‘From that large vessel, they leaped carelessly. They seemed as uninhibited as children. Their liberty was palpable. Yet, it stirred within me a sense of awe and a caution: “Wow, such freedom can be perilous.”‘

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but notice the apparent echo of a past reference in Lorde’s song “Current Affairs” from her latest album “Virgin.” The lyrics, “All alone in my room / Watching the tape of their honeymoon / On the boat, it was pure and true / Then the film came out,” seem reminiscent of the video she once mentioned. It’s as if she’s still captivated by that moment, revisiting it privately.

On social networking platforms, followers expressed displeasure as The Royals singer persistently lauded the homemade film, given that Anderson herself has previously shared her feelings about the distress caused by the leaked video.

Currently, a source close to Anderson has shared with Daily Mail their unique insights into Anderson’s sentiments regarding the references. The individual explained that the video significantly impacted Anderson, stating it “altered her life irrevocably and much of the aftermath is not something she enjoys recalling or contemplating.

In the throbbing heart of the ’90s, I found myself captivated by the union between Anderson and Lee, a bond that lasted from 1995 to 1998. Together, they brought life to two extraordinary beings, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee, now 29 and 27 respectively. However, our shared happiness was marred when a private video we made together was stolen and distributed without our permission, violating the sanctity of our privacy.

The confidant clarified that Anderson, aged 57, finds it distressing when discussions about her infamous sex tape resurface in popular discourse. This includes references made in shows like ‘Pam and Tommy’, as well as instances where others bring it up or situations requiring her to address it herself.

The Canadian actress hasn’t caught the 2022 Hulu series titled “Pam & Tommy,” featuring Lily James and Sebastian Stan, despite it being based on a real-life scandal. Unfortunately for her, the production and distribution were done without her explicit approval.

In her career progression since the Baywatch era, Anderson has garnered acclaim, particularly for her recent performance in a more substantial role with critical praise in The Last Showgirl.

Additionally, she has transformed her personal style significantly, moving away from the glamorous blonde persona to adopt a simpler, natural appearance. This transition is evident in her choice to go makeup-free at high-profile events and her decision to forgo Botox and fillers.

According to an informed source, she’s currently experiencing a peak in her professional life, avoiding old mistakes, and aspiring to grow elegantly, tackle significant projects, enjoy rewarding tasks, and display her skills.

As a devoted admirer, I’d say it’s more meaningful to acknowledge and celebrate Anderson’s present achievements, rather than dwelling on her past association with ‘Baywatch’ or her personal history.

In 1995, the video was secretly recorded by Rand Gauthier, an electrician working on the couple’s home. However, when Lee declined to pay him for his services, Gauthier retaliated by stealing a large safe from their garage, which contained the sex tape among other items. Later on, Seth Warshavsky managed to secure the video and initially broadcast it online before negotiating with Pamela and Tommy for distribution rights.

The couple eventually signed the agreement to cut down on their stress over lawsuits.

The significant earnings from the sale of the tape allegedly totaled hundreds of millions of dollars, yet none of that revenue apparently returned to Anderson and Lee. In a subsequent court decision, they received $740,000 each; however, it’s said that Warshavsky never honored this obligation by paying them either.

The source revealed that she has no personal connection with Lorde and has no interest in delving into her music or her mindset. It’s simply not something that Pam wishes to involve herself in, and she won’t be endorsing it either.

According to the source, Anderson is frustrated as she anticipates being questioned about a certain matter during her media interviews for her forthcoming film “Naked Gun,” in which she co-stars with Liam Neeson.

However, it seems that the most significant snub to any renowned figure who values their celebrity status might be this: Our source expressed that ‘She has no grudge against Lorde, as she is unfamiliar with her, but she prefers to keep this fact private.’

‘It is just a headache to deal with, when she just wants to live her life,’ the insider continued.

‘It is painful that she always has to relive that moment in her life.’
