Paloma Faith gives birth! Singer, 44, announces she has welcomed her third child via ‘painful’ C-section and spent three days in special care unit

Paloma Faith has welcomed her first child with her boyfriend Stevie Thomas. 

The 44-year-old singer announced on Instagram Tuesday that she and her partner, whom she first introduced to the public in March of last year at the Sony Music BRITs afterparty, recently welcomed their son on Friday.

Paloma announced the birth of her third child, a baby boy, on March 6th, sharing a photo of his tiny hand. She shares two older children with her ex-partner, Leyman Lahcine.

He arrived a little ahead of schedule and spent three days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I was so grateful for the amazing support from the midwives and the entire medical team. Today, we finally get to go home!

Okay, let’s be real – the first few days postpartum are tough. I’m definitely feeling it physically, and those unexpected thoughts pop up when you’re at your most vulnerable. But honestly, I’m overflowing with love for my partner and my little ones, and that makes everything worthwhile. I’m just taking things one step at a time. I want to be upfront – a C-section is painful, and it’s okay to acknowledge that. My baby is absolutely perfect, and we’re figuring things out together. And breastfeeding? It’s beautiful, but it’s also a challenge! It’s all a learning process, and I’m giving myself grace.

Last October, Paloma revealed she was pregnant with her first child with her partner, Stevie, who manages The Jam House venue.

The star of The Celebrity Traitors announced she’s pregnant on Instagram, playfully captioning her post: ‘Plot twist, I’m a mom again!’ She also used the hashtags #morethangeriatricpregnancy, #oappregnancy, and #oapmilf, and revealed she’s 18 weeks pregnant.

The actress and her ex-partner, Leyman Lahcine, who she separated from in 2023 after nine years, have two daughters. Their first daughter was born in December 2016, and their second in February 2021.

Paloma recently shared that a new relationship has changed her mind about marriage. She used to be firmly opposed to it, but now she’s open to the idea.

She shared that her relationship with her new partner was getting serious, explaining they’d been dating for almost a year.

In a March interview on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s podcast, Newly Weds, Paloma shared that she wasn’t married to her children’s father and has never been a fan of marriage…

Growing up with a feminist mother, I was taught that issues surrounding men and women often come down to control and ownership. It’s strange, but something about this person makes me feel strangely indifferent, like they don’t really matter.

She recalled telling him when they first met that she would never get married and to not even ask. But she admitted that her feelings had changed over time, and she was now open to the possibility, feeling herself becoming more receptive to the idea.

I’m pretty sure my mom would react by asking what’s happening and if I’m having a mid-life crisis. Personally, I believe raising children with someone creates a deeper connection than just being married.

When Jamie asked if she was in love, Paloma said yes. She also explained that she’s aware of how things could unfold, and that they might still work out if they both put in the effort and communicate with each other.

I’m a big believer in therapy – finding a good therapist can be incredibly helpful. It’s especially valuable if you have someone who’s open to trying it.
