Palm Beach’s old money elite expose the outrageously dirty secret of newbie Netflix reality stars… and name ‘tackiest’ most hated influencer, as turf war explodes

They present an image of glamorous socialites, living a lavish lifestyle filled with cosmetic procedures, elegant dresses, and surprisingly coarse language, all within America’s most elite communities.

The stars of the new Netflix reality show, Members Only: Palm Beach, definitely show off a lavish lifestyle, leading viewers to believe they’re among the wealthiest and most connected people, attending exclusive events and charity fundraisers.

However, the Daily Mail has discovered that the five main characters on the show don’t actually live in the town President Trump now calls home, and the show wasn’t filmed there either.

Those truly established in Florida’s wealthy circles see the newcomers on the show as overly eager to impress and fit in with the existing elite.

One prominent Palm Beach resident told the Daily Mail that the recent events are humiliating and don’t reflect what the town is really like. They suggested it’s best to see everything as a farcical exaggeration.

Another veteran Palm Beach insider was more scathing.

Honestly, it drives me crazy! I see some of these women, all dressed in designer clothes and driving these fancy cars, but they just… seem clueless! Like they have no idea what’s going on, even with all the money they’re throwing around. It’s like they just appeared out of nowhere, completely unaware, no matter how expensive their ride is!

Netflix is currently advertising a new eight-episode show that follows Hilary Musser, a real estate developer, Taja Abitbol, a leader in the hospitality world, Ro-mina Ustayev, a singer and fashion designer hoping to make it big, Maria Cozamanis, a former tech CEO who’s also a DJ, and Rosalyn Yellin, a dedicated philanthropist.

I’m completely hooked on this show! It really dives into the lives of these women and how their friendships turn into intense competition. Basically, it’s a battle to see who will be considered the ultimate social leader of Palm Beach, and it’s fascinating to watch it all unfold.

Although the five main actors often talk about living in Palm Beach, none of them actually own a home there.

I’ve been following this story and it’s fascinating! Did you know that Marc Abitbol, who’s 53, has been living with former Yankees pitcher and commentator Dave Cone, 63, since 2021? They share a beautiful $2.5 million, five-bedroom house in Boca Raton. It’s actually not too far from Palm Beach – only about 29 miles from the famous Worth Avenue shopping district.

Thirty-nine-year-old Ustayev, the youngest member of the cast, lives in Boca Raton with her husband, Roman Ovrutsky, who works as a homebuilder. Their house is valued at $3.35 million.

Yellin, 54, who mentored her on the show, lives with her husband, Jonathan, in a stunning $6.5 million five-bedroom home in Highland Beach. However, the house is over 30 miles away from both Worth Avenue and Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Living slightly closer to Palm Beach is 51-year-old Cozamanis. She and her husband, 59-year-old Damon Cozamanis, a chiropractor, reside in a $4.3 million four-bedroom house in Delray Beach.

Sixty-year-old Musser, who has been married five times, is the only one who’s spent a significant amount of time near this private community. However, she actually lives in West Palm Beach, just across the water. She’s currently selling her waterfront mansion there for $42.5 million, and also owns another waterfront home with five bedrooms, worth $14.4 million.

As someone who’s been watching closely, this show really hits home because it perfectly captures what’s happening in Palm Beach right now. You’ve got all these new, incredibly wealthy people from the world of tech and finance moving in, and they’re definitely shaking things up and challenging the way things have always been done by the established, older families. It’s a fascinating clash, and the show feels incredibly relevant because of it.

Audiences have seen Musser and Yellin argue, Abitbol act dramatically, and Cozamanis frequently use profanity.

Thirty-nine-year-old Ustayev has been attracting attention for what some consider her flashy style and boisterous personality.

A particular scene from the show has drawn criticism, especially from those in power. In it, Gale Brophy, a 70-year-old businesswoman with connections to the Trump family, who is portraying the current queen of Palm Beach, solemnly passes a golden baton to Yellin, as if bestowing a sacred blessing and signaling her approval of Yellin as the next in line.

According to a source familiar with the situation, what happened was incredibly embarrassing – almost unbelievable. It was a particularly low point in the entire event.

‘There is no such thing as the baton. That was absurd. It’s simply not done.

It’s true that older people often pass on responsibilities to those younger than them, but that doesn’t concern Gale Brophy at all.

Let me tell you, things got a little awkward at a recent party! It turns out, after The Daily Mail reported it, there was a bit of a scene when one of the stars, Brophy, was asked to leave a celebration hosted by Abitbol. Apparently, someone claimed they saw her accidentally use another guest’s champagne glass – a simple mistake, but it caused quite a stir!

What’s really got people talking among those in high society isn’t just Brophy being on the show, but why she agreed to participate. A well-known socialite, who considers the show a joke, shared with the Daily Mail that she suspects Brophy is simply seeking fame, even if it means damaging her reputation.

According to a source, the show portrays Gale in a very negative light. They questioned whether she understood the consequences of her actions and if she simply prioritized fame. They expressed sympathy for how the show depicts her.

Highlights of the show are the fallouts and derogatory stage whispers.

So, do the real Palm Beach elite have their spats?

We do have disagreements, but they’re not as dramatic as they appear. Things are usually much more subtle and understated,” a source told us.

Sometimes, disagreements happen within charities. If someone does something another volunteer dislikes, it can lead to hurt feelings and potentially cause them to stop working together, or move on to a different organization.

Sometimes they might mention things to each other in a subtle way. But unlike these girls, they wouldn’t have loud, dramatic arguments.

Abitbol finally got a TV role on a new show, but not before reportedly auditioning four times for The Real Housewives of New York City, where she used to live.

She’s facing legal action in two lawsuits alleging she intentionally started a fire at the couple’s Manhattan apartment in 2019, hoping to create a dramatic story for her attempt to get on a New York reality TV show.

Daniel Rice, a neighbor, alleges that a woman attempted to set her Manhattan apartment on fire for publicity, and the resulting sprinkler activation caused significant water damage to his home.

Abitbol filed a lawsuit claiming defamation, but she lost in 2024 and was required to cover her neighbor’s legal fees.

Judge Mary Rosado noted in her ruling that there’s significant proof Abitbol tried to profit from the fire by discussing it on television and sharing details on Instagram.

Just three months before the fire, a New York Page Six article revealed she was very eager to join the cast of The Real Housewives of New York, but had unsuccessfully auditioned four times.

In the legal case against her, the lawyer for Army veteran Rice stated that the plaintiff, Abitbol, is known for seeking public attention.

The reality TV personality reportedly started a small fire while meditating. She lit a candle in her apartment’s dining room, and it accidentally triggered the sprinkler system.

Ustayev, who relocated to Florida from Pennsylvania in 2022, explained to Netflix’s Tudum that a common complaint is the difficulty of making friends, largely due to a social divide between established residents and newcomers with more recent wealth.

Many people pretend to be wealthy, but they’re not actually rich.

It’s a little sad to see what’s happening in our town, honestly. For a century, it’s always been a special place, a haven for those with means. But now, there’s a real tension building between the people who’ve always been here and the new folks moving in. It feels like a clash of cultures, and it’s definitely changing the atmosphere.

Honestly, as someone who knows Palm Beach well, I was really relieved when a source told me they hoped viewers wouldn’t mistake the show for reality. They emphasized that it’s definitely not an accurate portrayal of the area, and I completely agree. It’s entertainment, and it’s important people remember that!

Palm Beach is a beautiful town with a lot of potential, and we hope it doesn’t lose its charm and become like the chaotic world depicted in this show.

According to another source speaking with the Daily Mail, people in Palm Beach generally view the Members Only club as either unimportant or annoying.

Because the movie wasn’t actually filmed there, most people don’t think the island is particularly noteworthy – it’s hardly an interesting story to tell.

Hilary Musser is the only cast member from the “stars” series that most people recognize. She’s a real estate agent in Palm Beach Gardens who currently has just one property listed for sale on the island itself.
