This deck primarily focuses on Palkia EX and its key move, Dimensional Storm. But, using this deck effectively requires careful strategy implementation. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:

Palkia EX and its signature move, Dimensional Storm, form the core of this deck. Proper execution of strategy is crucial when employing this setup. Here’s a detailed explanation:

All Pokémon cards

This deck contains eight cards featuring different Pokémon that boost Palkia, starting with two Palkia EX cards. Each Palkia EX card has a primary move dealing 150 damage to your opponent’s active Pokemon and 20 damage to all of their benched Pokemon.

It is a heavy hitter, that is for sure.

As a gamer, I find myself in a tricky spot when using that move, as it forces me to part with three Water Energies from my Pokémon after each use. It can be tough to keep up the next turn. But fear not! Here are some strategies I’ve found helpful:

1. Build up your Energy reserves beforehand by focusing on cards that let you draw extra cards or search for specific ones.
2. Try using moves that don’t consume as much Energy, allowing you to conserve resources for the Water-based move.
3. Look for Pokémon with abilities that help manage Energy, such as those that return a card from the discard pile back to your hand.
4. Consider switching to a different type of Pokémon if the Water one proves too energy-intensive.
5. Utilize items like Energy Switch or Escape Rope to replenish Energy or get out of tough situations.

Initially, we added two Manaphy cards to the deck. This legendary Pokemon has a unique move that lets you transfer two Water Energy cards from your stockpile to any two of your benched Pokemons. Additionally, we included two Eevees and its water-evolved form, Vaporeon.

By utilizing Vaporeon’s unique ability, you can transfer multiple Water-type Energies from your energy pool to your currently active Pokemon during your turn. This allows you to utilize the additional Energy that Manaphy has given you and then connect it to your Palkia EX.

All Trainer cards

In this deck construction, similar to many others we’ve made, there are 12 Trainer cards. To get started, we’ve added two Dawn cards, a crucial Supporter card. This Dawn card allows you to transfer an Energy from one of your Benched Pokémon to your currently Active Pokémon.

Subsequently, we added Mars to the game. Using Mars gives your opponent the challenge of reshuffling their hand back into their deck and drawing the necessary number of cards equivalent to the points they require to win. In extreme cases, this can potentially leave them with just a single card in their hand.

Including another fantastic Water Supporter card in Misty, allowing you to furnish your Palkia with multiple Water Energies.

The other Supporter cards included are Sabrina and Professor’s Research.

In addition, we’ve also added a Pokémon Tool card – the Giant Cape. This card is beneficial for your deck as it boosts the health of the Pokémon it is attached to by an additional 20 points.

We then finished off the deck by including Poké Ball and X Speed.

Weak against

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that this particular deck doesn’t stand strong against decks centered on Electric-type Pokémon. Be cautious when encountering decks featuring Pikachu EX or Luxray, as they could potentially give me a tough time.

Strong against

This Palkia EX deck is particularly effective against decks featuring Fire-type Pokemon. You’re unlikely to encounter Infernape when facing off with this deck, as they would likely end up in the Discard Pile during gameplay.
