The best video game soundtracks you can get on Steam

Video game soundtracks can significantly influence a player’s experience, subtly blending into the background (such as in Quiplash) or leaving an unforgettable imprint on a series (like The Legend of Zelda, Doom, Metroid, Sonic, etc.). With advancements in technology, game scores are no longer confined to limited electronic tones, opening up a vast realm of musical possibilities. Today, the music that accompanies our gaming sessions can be as enjoyable and impactful as any standalone song. These tunes inspire determination to reach the next level, encourage relaxation to appreciate the scenery, or get you tapping your feet to the rhythm.

The Lego Jaws set is now available for pre-order

Lego is no stranger to recreating classic pop culture moments, and this new Lego Jaws set has almost immediately become one of my favorites. The 1,497-piece homage captures the showdown between a trio of unlikely heroes and a very angry shark. The set features a full recreation of the Orca boat, including the interior where the crew shares body scar stories; minifigs of Brody, Hooper, and Quint; and of course, “Bruce” the Shark — along with a display stand for its four lead characters. The Lego Jaws set costs $149.99 and will ship Aug. 22.

Divisive House of the Dragon finale gets season-high ratings, if slightly below season 1

The final episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, titled “The Queen Who Ever Was,” aired last Sunday. I can’t deny that I was a bit disappointed by the finale, as it didn’t quite live up to the promising storyline the series had been developing and featured some unexpected character shifts. However, I hope the show continues to succeed, so I’m pleased to share that the episode drew in 8.9 million viewers in one night on both HBO and Max. As reported by Variety, this is a record for the season, an increase of 14% from the number of viewers who watched the season premiere.
