Josh Ruben’s 2025 Valentine’s Day slasher film was a pleasant surprise, performing well in theaters and earning back nearly twice its production cost. It also received a positive 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Olivia Holt (from Totally Killer) and Mason Gooding (Scream franchise), Heart Eyes stood out with its clever story, original killer, and intense violence. Its success both financially and with critics positions it well for a sequel and the potential to launch a new horror series.

I’m really excited about Season 2 of Monarch! They’re diving deep into Kong’s backstory, showing us Skull Island before the big storm that wiped out the Iwi people – which is cool since we saw the aftermath in Godzilla vs. Kong. We know Kong’s going to have a showdown with Titan X eventually, but the first episode already gave us a glimpse of some strange creatures that seem connected to Titan X somehow – maybe they’re its babies or live with it. It’s setting up a really interesting story!

The original Faces of Death presents itself as a documentary where a pathologist explains disturbing footage of deaths – both human and animal – with the goal of shocking the audience. While some of the scenes were genuine, obtained from news sources and medical studies, others were staged specifically for the film. It became notorious as a challenging film to watch, and many countries banned or heavily censored it due to its graphic nature.

The game will feature a variety of enemies, including Bowser, his son, and Kamek. Marketing materials suggest Birdo, traditionally a villain, will fight Princess Peach. Several other familiar boss characters like Mouser, Clawgrip, and Megaleg will also appear, showing the developers are including both well-known and more obscure characters.
